The best part of tonight's game is that Toronto kept going on runs... kept landing haymakers... and every time they did it the Bucks would grind back to even. If they could have hit one of those 2 open 3s it would be 2-0.

Toronto cannot feel good going to Milwaukee. They couldn't shake this Bucks team hitting 14 3s, attacking the paint over and over, building lead after lead. And it took a lucky shot by DeRozen and a great shot by Lowry to beat them.

Middleton came around tonight, and Giannis was getting banged but he managed to still be effective. Maker took some lumps. Too many turnovers, though.

Hopefully they get a boost with the BC rocking and take command of this series... but one thing- if it comes down to a critical possession I don't think Giannis in an ISO is the way to go. If you insist on ISO then give it to Middleton. He gets a better look because he can step back and get a look. But if you want to get Giannis something towards the basket, you need him off the ball and moving, even P&R, or just some weak side action. That way they cannot set their d and his step goes by everyone- he either gets a look at the basket, gets fouled, or even both.

Well yeah- it would be nice to be up 2-0. But remember- there are few that gave the Bucks any chance in this series, and now they have control. They're playing good ball- Toronto hit 50% of their 3s too. Everything was stacked against MKE last night and though they didn't win, they battled and played playoff basketball until the end when they broke down offensively.

It would be great to win this series, but no doubt the Bucks are not a valid contender and this is all about playoff experience that helps them get to the next level.  Then again, winning this series would give them more playoff experience.

They are too inexperienced right now.  But, barring injury and any weird loss of players, each year is another year of experience and I cannot see anything but this team getting better.  Much better.

I even think there is a likelihood the best this team may end up is the pinnacle, an NBA championship.

My only concern is how many of these guys will we lose to the "big city" franchises?   It seems the Brewers go through this, too.

That really isn't the way of the nba anymore. And besides- they have Middleton through 18-19 with a player option for 19-20, and Giannis is signed through 20-21. Parker's still on his rookie deal and needs to come back from the acl.

And the truth is that as Giannis goes so goes the Bucks. He makes the Bucks an attractive free agent destination, he gives them the level of player that tilts the court, and he motivates the core to stay together.  He has already said that he never wants to leave, and while many players would say that knowing they'll bolt any time, you get the sense from him it's different. The owners know what they have- they'll never let him go.

If Maker does actually become a star, his rookie deal goes into the final year of Giannis's current deal. And if you can believe this, Giannis will be only 26 at that point. Maker will be 23 at that time, Parker 25.
