This is the best time of year for the NHL.
It is in my opinion be very hard for anyone to beat Tampa they are a machine this year. But, one thing about the Cup playoffs is that recently the team you think will roll gets bounced out.
I am a long time Capitals fan (lived in DC for a long time) and if the Caps don't win it its ok as long as the Penguins don't. Anyone can win it as long as they don't.

CBJ got start the first year of my residency training so I’ve been a fan of theirs. I had written this series off before it started. But those last two periods wow indeed. That’s Jackets we expected all year long.

Wouldn't that be something if Columbus knocks of Tampa in the first round. If anyone was up late, San Jose first goal was deflected off the jaw of Joe Pavelski costing the Sharks forward a few teeth, and he only missed a few minutes of the game.

As a Caps fan I am actually ok with the Canes beating up on the islanders. Barry Trotz turned out to be an A-hole who couldn't leave the Caps soon enough after their cup win.

Well, the Bruins look to have the Canes' number. 5-2, then 6-2. That has to dampen the moral. Not a good start to the series for the Canes.
Pretty much do or die in game 3 for the Canes tonite, home cooking @ PNC Arena has been very good for Carolina, they took all 3 against Wash. and both against New York.
