Imagine if the Bears sign him instead of Foles.

Imagine if the Bears either

1. Didn't trade up to get Trubisky with both Mahomes and Watson on the board

OR

2. Tried to fix the Trubisky screw up by signing Foles instead of Newton, AJ Dalton, or Rivers.

All they really need is a competent guy and that can't even get that right.

Look I just said Smith has been useless, but that is the antithesis of putting players in a position to succeed.

Yes. You are almost better off just blitzing him and letting the TE run down the same alone.

Defensive line may be the biggest need for this team in the draft. In fact, I’d say definitely it is. Two of the first three picks should be d line. Cut P Smith and Lancaster, maybe Lowry. Effin Shepherd......

I don't know....but having him cover a TE is NOT putting him in the best position to succeed.

I don't think Preston is bad all of a sudden. I think he's being asked to do shit that he shouldn't be doing.

I was referrimg more to his pass rush skills

Question.  OLBs definitely drop into coverage when needed.  Why wouldn't you put someone like Gary in that position?  The athletic freak who tries hard vs. the guy who is 10 times more effective rushing the fucking QB?

And that's not giving P a pass.  That early play were he didn't seal was horrible.
