Christian Watson breakout game

So what does a Watson breakout game look like?

Ha. I was looking at his stats earlier. Despite "the drop" he's got a respectable 71% catch rate, 5 of 7. That's the good part.

The bad part is 43 yards on those 5 catches including 3 YPC in the Bears game.

I'd like to see 1 of his catches today go for 40+ yards. Stretch that field, young man!

If Yosh is active, does the mean the rotation with Dave continues?

Kealson Nixon played pretty well last week in place of #23. Hoyer at QB and not a murders row of WR's this week, the Packers shouldn't be missing Alexander too much this week.

Even if Watson pulls defensive backs away because of his speed, it’s a positive for the other receivers.

That would be my guess. Just thrilled that Bakh made it through last week with no issues and isn't listed on the injury report. It's been forever since we've seen that.

It's too bad Yosh can't/isn't ready to play RT.  That would allow Jenkins to move over to LG next to his buddy.  That would be a stout line with Runyan and Myers.

There is no long-term concern with Alexander's groin injury. A source said Alexander was healthy enough to play today, but team is being cautious with top corner early in the season, not wanting to re-aggravate the injury.

Bakh apparently not a fan of the rotation. Since he didn't have a setback I'd think the snaps would go more in his favor this week. I'd go with a 2 series for Bakh 1 for Yosh rotation this week. Unless the Packers have a very long 12+ play drive then give Nijman the next series.

Saw Zach Tom stumble back out of the O-line huddle during warmups. Bakhtiari was so jacked up that he headbutted Tom, pushed him off balance and then spanked him. Looks like 69 is ready.
