I don't how much better Clifford will be. If guys can't catch, can't shield defenders, can't fight for possession, doesn't matter who's tossing it. Maybe it would be more fun to watch with another gunslinger at the helm but this entire offense is broke. Even when they make a play it's a holding penalty or illegal man downfield every fricken time!

That's probably where the lack of a vet hurts. They need somebody to get after the young guys about using their bodies and concentrating to help bail out their QB. While I love the potential of this group, they look lost, soft, and a bit lackadaisical. In the meantime, move Wicks into Watson's spot and put Watson's butt on the bench until he gets it.
I would feel better if Marty would just say " we suck " and start doing something different. Different week. Same shit.
Hey titm...
Thanks for the vid links.
Saves me a lot of time wondering through cyberspace.

"Keep working"? That's his answer on how to turn things around? He's a cliché-filled, soft puss and his team reflects that. MM may have had his faults but I liked his "we're nobody's underdog " mentality. MLF has been exposed and is definitely in over his head - probably why he can't attract top notch assistants.
Are we forgetting MM's classic "We'll get that cleaned up"?

"Keep working" reminds me of this crazy guy as a celebrity due to his totally off-the-wall show on local television we grew up with.
He would get inundated with requests for everything, including bands wanting auditions to play on his show.
Instead of telling them they sucked, he would replay with notes of "keep practicing!".
What else is MLF supposed to say? We stink? The players don’t respect these coaches? Joe Barry needs a contract extension?
Offensively, this team is historically bad and for those that watched 70s and 80s (non Lynn Dickey years) teams that’s saying a lot. MLF is supposed to be the maestro and it’s just brutal.
It is definitely bottoming out on offense. It's to the point where it's not even exciting anymore when they do put a drive together because you know the next several drives will be 3 n out's or the D will get rolled again. The offense scoring almost feels like a novelty right now.
If there is any negative play or penalty that puts the offense behind the sticks, and that has happened a lot, this offense is done. 3rd and 12 or 2nd and 20 used to be plays the Packers could overcome but it's almost assuredly the end of the drive now. It seems like every pass play is within 3-4 yards of the LOS and they are easy to defense. It's like playing against 9 in the box. Defenses really seem to know the playbook as well as the Packers, even better than a few Packers.
