I question his football IQ ....just makes too many questionable decisions for a QB.

Which was the scouting report on him coming out of Utah State.

The worst play he's made as a starter was his final throw last year. Down 3, only needing a FG to tie, approaching midfield, and throwing across his body on FIRST down all the way across the field for the sealing interception. That was a Favre play, but Favre had a lot more great plays to cancel out the terrible decisions.

Love evaluation by NFL,com

Overview

Challenging evaluation for quarterback-needy teams balancing traits and potential against disappointing 2019 tape. Staff turnover and new starters across the offense are partly to blame for his regression, but self-made flaws in process were also concerns. Love's accuracy took a step back, and his delayed reaction from "see it" to "throw it" when making reads is troubling. He has the arm to stick throws into tight windows but needs better eye discipline and anticipation to keep windows open. His size, mobility and arm talent combined with his 2018 flashes could be a winning hand that leads a team into the future or a siren's song of erratic play and unfulfilled potential.

MP2 most of the team regressed this year.  Go up and down the roster.

Wicks and Reed surely did.  Both guys had 3 drops last year.  This year?   9 for each of them.

For all the hype that Zack Tom and Jenkins get neither guy played at a high level.   Ironically, Walker at LT might be an exception on the OL.

Love surely didn’t improve.  But his receivers didn’t do him many favors.

Kraft is the one guy on offense that took a positive step forward.

On defense, the stalwarts were the newer players like Cooper and X.  The rookie safety 33 was decent.  Bullard had some nice moments but was also inconsistent at times.

The corners were trash for most of the season.  The linebackers other than Cooper weren’t anything special.

Then there’s the DL.  Clark and Gary and LVN were colossal failures given what we had seen from Clark and Gary specifically.  Van Ness looks like a wasted draft pick.

So yeah, they may have won 11 games and made the playoffs but this isn’t a decent team.

And for all of the MLF ball washers he’s proving to be not such a great HC either.
