I reckon it's easier for the offense to get in sync than it is for the defense. Offensive players know what they have to do before the snap, and receivers at least do their own thing needing to bother too much what their teammates are doing. Defensive players have to react to the offense and have to make sure they know what everyone else is up to. Give it two or three weeks, it'll be back to normal.
I'm in the camp that if you're QB throws for over 500 yards something has gone wrong. If you're QB throws for 280-320 a couple TD's, no picks and you can run for 150-180 you're probably winning the game.

The Patriots continuing to dial up pass plays kept Miami in that game Monday night. Partiots had a 14 point lead with 9 minutes left and went three and out with two incomplete passes, took about 35 seconds off the clock, then handed it back to Miami. Then they did the same thing with about 3:30 left in the game.

No question AR could go for 500 if he decided that's what he wanted to do. But that's not how MM wants to win games.
