There are two schools of thought out there for how to handle Hader The first, and moronic one is this

Sure, maybe everyone should try to bunt their way on.

I believe the only real strategy when Hader pitches is to put the bat on your shoulder and hope and pray for a walk.

I don’t get to see the games much, and I’ll admit I’m not up on the analytics of BP use, but when I see the use of the BP and the multiple innings thing, are we seeing a different way to use BP arms? I know there has been a lot of discussion about getting away from the traditional ways to use a BP (setup, closer) and how using a closer in high leverage situations is something theorized by the analytics wonks as a more 21st century way of using a BP- is that what we’re seeing here?

Hader looking OK.  Yelich fine.  Ji-Man was yard again until he hit into a jet stream that beat the ball back inside the park!

Anybody missing previous managers?  Counsell plays every game as if it was game seven in a seven game series.  Hope he can get better.

Managers for the most part (NOTE MOST PART β‰  EVERY TIME) are fungible and in the parlance of advanced stats are pretty close to a WAR of 0.0.

Counsell feels like any other random manager. Does some things well, others not so much. You could replace him with dozens of other guys and I don't think things would be very different.

That said, I do appreciate that he's not been as locked into the dumbass closer/setup/8th inning guy/etc BS this year.
