Eric Sogard's slash line in real time. 6/56 on the year.

3 of his 6 hits came in one game where he went 3/4, take that one game out, and his slash line is
.057 / .125 / .077 / .202
It's mathematically possible those 6 hits were all flukes
Counsell desperately wants someone to beat his 0-45 streak
Just a day off for Orlando Arcia. Also trying to get Eric Sogard going a little bit with consecutive starts, as he enters tonight with a .107 average. "Sogie's off to a slow start," Counsell said. "The best way to get out of it is to get some consistency in their at-bats."

Slow start? .107
I like Counsell but JFC that is a bull**** response
He should have said you know, Eric is off to a slow start hitting but heβs making up for it by booting plays on defense
I'm sure you could go in and hit .108.
I could go in and be ****ty at baseball, for a lot less resources
I might even be entertaining
here is the crazy thing, we didn't have to send cash to Cle

Itβs the majors ammo. Dude needs to be able to hit more than his weight. At a minimum.
Whether or not I could play at that level (and no I canβt) is irrelevant. Heβs a ball player and thatβs his career choice. He has to perform better.
He was a feel good story last year but dude needs to step it up. He hasnβt been the same guy since coming back from the injury last year but maybe his hot start was just a mirage, who knows.
Eric Sogard's average drops to .100 including today's 0-for-3. Brewers gave him a bunch of ABs this weekend hoping it might help him get going. Besides some walks, hasn't worked.

Love this logic. Lets give AB's to a 31 year old guy who has historically sucked to get him jump started rather than keep giving AB's to our 27 year old switch hitter who is actually hitting. Hard to believe the logic that AB's will help Sogard can't also be hurting Villar, who needs the AB's to help the team.
