#Brewers GM David Stearns on Hader's tweets: "I don't think they're representative of who he is. I think they're offensive. I think they're ill-informed and ignorant but I don't think they represent who he is as a person right now."

More Stearns on Hader: "I don't know how he's going to work through it. The truth is he has put himself in this situation. And he's going to have to work very hard to get through it."

I like this Stearns kid
We profess to becoming such a progressive "tolerant" society....and then we act exceedingly intolerant to people who make mistakes.
Help me out here.
Citizens United... intersectionality...I love this country... Trump is a disgrace... Russia collusion... end of democracy.
Think that about covers the talking points...
If people were actually talking, it might
It would be awesome if Arcia were the shortstop we were looking for
Orlando Arcia leads off the bottom of the sixth with a triple to right and scores the go-ahead run on Santana's groundout. He is 2-for-3 with a double and triple. pic.twitter.com/9FWmyXDcep

Here’s a guy you can root for — Rymer Liriano is back with the Brewers. He was in their big league camp in 2016 when he was hit in the face by a pitch and suffered fractures. Made it to the big leagues with the White Sox in ‘17. https://t.co/8AldpozR65

Same for Santana... guy hit 30 last year. If that guy comes back, the offense gets a big boost.
Yup, if those guys contribute like they did last year, it makes a huge difference. Santana's complete loss of power is truly baffling.
Of course, we are just as lucky to have guys like Jesus take it to another level.
I want to get Shaw right as well. He did seem like he was starting to play a little bit better before the break. Maybe the break will heal any leftover discomfort from the wrist issue. I thought at one point this year Shaw was playing at borderline All-Star level, but from my perception seemed to really go in the tank for quite a while after the wrist injury. He probably needed some DL time but they just couldn't afford it with so many others out.
He did seem like he was somewhat coming out of the funk so let's see if maybe the "good" Travis Shaw returns for the 2nd half of the year.

Get confused and think you were on your incels forum?
Resident Cubs fan, but serious question: Does Nate Orf really belong on the 40 man roster, let alone the 25?? The Brewers have got to have a better option than him, no?
I’ll give him 1/2 of a sogard to get right (Orf at least hit in the minors), but no, he’s not really a MLB caliber player
Sogard is a better option. .193 vs. .063
Hard to be more wrong that that Ammo. Terrible opinion
Second verse, same as the first. Bullpen gives up 5 runs from 7 to 9.
I don’t get it. Bullpen is fully rested after AS break and in a tie game it’s Williams and Woodruff? Even the AS pitchers had 2 days of rest.
I don’t understand it either
Has Woodruff come in and pitched in this type situation all year? I can’t recall.
Did Counsell offer an explanation
Slumpbuster lineup!
I fricken hope so. Been what, 2 weeks since the last W?
Hader and Burnes killing it
Don’t **** it up Knebel
By the way - I had no idea Kershaw has a career 2.38 ERA and has a win loss ratio of almost 70%. You beat that guy it’s a major achievement
Knebel pisses me off
I think a lot of things piss you off.
Wild guess.
Bloop singles piss me off.
Bring back the bloop single.
Now it's all upper cut home runs, strikeouts and walks.
For the record Knebel threw a hanging curve to Utley that he hits a two hopper to Orf for a DP instead of second deck in right field for a tying home run. Crew will need him to reclaim his sharpness from last year to be serious contenders.
Burnes getting his first win in a game that Machado grounds out to end the game is telling. Build on a great game.
Knebel has been far from automatic this year. So yes, him blowing games or his potential to blow games does piss me off. They have other options
He can’t spot the curve. That’s why the Brewers got him more or less off the scrap heap in the Gallardo trade. The year they traded for him, he walked 22 guys in 45 innings. Control is and always will be an issue.
This is friggin stupid...
HR-single-single-sac-double-double... 2-0 lead gone, 5-2.
And Braun taps out to short with the bases loaded... need to get real bats in the lineup. Gotta win a slugfest today... Braun a lineup black hole.
Pitching was perfect first half- lots of winning. Pitching no longer perfect, lots of losing...
Braun needs to sit...
Dodgers seem to be sending a message- the Brewers are not at their level. Stearns has a choice- leave things as they are and horde the prospects with hopes that 2-3 years from now they lead you there, or go get someone(s) and get this thing back on track.
Machado made them better. Brewers pitching has an amazing first half, now returning to the mean.
Maybe they were aware they were a paper tiger and they aren’t willing to dump these top guys until Braun is off the payroll...
Are you subbing for Tschmack today MC?
I don’t know what that means... I think I’m resigned to the idea they’re falling back to the pack. Dodgers are dropping the hammer, and if they do t make a move I’m thinking the management is unwilling to go for it this year.
They missed out on Machado- they didn’t offer enough. Degromme to me is a good get because he’s under control for a few years- but they desperately need a bat (or two). Don’t know if an ace is enough.
Today is a revelation. They had a great first half. But they’re not that team anymore... they’re free falling now.
What is means is I’m the negative nelly
I’d love to talk duckies and bunnies but that’s not happening right now with this team
I hope they can survive this tailspin but not sure. Between the injuries and the holes in the lineup its not a great story to tell
From Tailgunner Bernie to Tailspin Bernie in 2 weeks. I'm not writing them off but then again I'm not saving for playoff tickets either. I'm with MC it's been nice knowing Braunie but.....
Anyone here see the Cubs falling apart? Me neither.

Braun squared up on both the outs with bases loaded. Those were not bad at bats
