#Brewers active on a number of fronts. Exploring, among other things, a left-handed hitter off the bench. #BlueJays’ Granderson one possibility.

Granderson would be fine, but they need more pitching. Just another guy to eat up innings and keep games from getting blown open.
The pickup that has helped keep the bullpens arms from falling off has been Miley. For a guy that has been terrible for several years now (he had an ERA of around 5.50 in 62 starts in 2016-2017) he's been a pleasant surprise. He's made 9 starts since coming back in July and goes 5-7 innings every time with no more than 3 earned runs. He was absolutely huge yesterday. Coming off Tuesday and Wednesday evening games where the Brewers used 10 different pitchers (two guys both nights), Miley goes a strong 7+ innings and allows some of the bullpen guys to rest (or at least make shorter appearances). That not only allowed them to win that game, but keeps more guys available for tonight's game.
failed Oriole pitchers are a gem waiting to be mined
Brewers To Acquire Xavier Cedeno https://t.co/wlY8CH1dg1

Stearns has a sweet tooth for some Grandy, so that'll happen. Maybe a side of Gio, but he has definitely lost some value this season.
Looks like they acquired Gio Gonzalez from the Nats.
A 2 run 2 out homer by Shaw in the 1st and a solo homer by Kratz in the 2nd. Brewers up 3-1.
Stearns making Harry Dalton look quiet.
You're old.
Me too.

Obviously depends who they gave up (hopefully not more than a mid-level prospect), but I like the fact he went out and got a couple of more guys that at least have shown in the past they can get some guys out. I didn't want to see us bleed to death in September by trying to rely on Albers, Lyles, and guys like Zagursky get lit up.
Dying here.
Well, the Scrubbies finally lost a game. 4 back now.
Would love to win this series. It will be tough facing Steven Strasburg tomorrow and then having the recently awful Guerra pitch on Sunday.
I don’t think Guerra is going to start another game. Davies is scheduled to activate, yes? I thought that was part of the new within the flurry of moves earlier in the week...
Heard on the radio yesterday that Davies would be activated and start against the Cubs next week.
Was wondering if Harper striking out in the ninth would make him available in a package deal with Gio Gonzalez? Oh well Granderson was cheap and may be more productive.
Not knowing these players in the dugout or clubhouse, but sensing Stearns and Counsell have a premium on character.
I like guys who can play at a playoff run level....
Player moves: Houle activated from the Springs DL, Roegner activated from the Biloxi DL and transferred to Springs, Henry reinstated from the Carolina DL, Morrison transferred to Wisconsin.

IF Eric Sogard has been released.
.I don't care if you loved him, this is great news and brings me joy
And the Brewers blow a 3-1 lead in the 8th...
Road to a loss gets easier today. Sad job by Soria.
Junior is the best we have?
We have to really shake up bull pen or this team is done. Losing Knebel was tough but the Crews took measures rather than plod through his implosion. Soria to be trusted? Not after last night.
Pull Junior NOW! Bases Loaded!
Leave him in Counsell acting dumb for some reason.
Warming up Fat Albers??????????????????
I am done with these Idiots. Let's recall Sogard for the bullpen entertainer role.
Broxton with 3 run dinger. Crew back in the lead 5-4!!!
And now a GRAND SLAM for Yelich after 2 out walks to the pitcher and pinch hitter Perez. Crew leads 9-4.
Counsell is a Jeenyous! Best manager ever!
Should have been a sweep of the Nationals. BIG series with the Cubs starting tomorrow. This series could make or break the Brewers playoff chances. I watched the Cubs/Phillies game today. The Cubs are hot right now.
Every series they go 2-1 seems like a missed opportunity. They have had an opportunity to get hot and the BP manages to blow one game every series.
Maybe just maybe today was a step in the right direction for the bullpen. Need some guys other than Hader/Jeffress to step up and today they did bail out Guerra. Cedeno looks pretty good and Woodruff looked better today than I remember him looking earlier this year.

Easy there, Tschmack.
Easy on what? Just like Cincy they should have swept this series against the Nats.
The Cardinals and Cubs aren’t going anywhere. Milwaukee has to make a statement this week.
I thought you bailed on this team 2 weeks ago.
Welcome back.
Thanks for the memories 2018 Brewers
At least we got to keep all of our sure thing prospects!!!
As of today.
Brewers are in a playoff spot.
Look in the mirror.
I haven’t watched a game in 2 weeks. Listened briefly this aft on radio as my father in law wanted to check in as we ran errands. That’s it. Keep preaching though it suits your douchebag style pretty well. BTW - have the standings changed in that time? Either Chicago or STL?
Don't post "The season's over" crap until, you know ,the season is over.
Right to the name calling.
Is life that bad?
Go find something else to do.
Go **** yourself you pompous ass
You haven’t earned any special cred here and if they blow it yet again I fully expect you to explain things away like you always do
