Dodgers are right there... and this weekend they have 3 more against the Cards. Then they have 3 against the Rockies... they finish with Padres, DBags, and Giants. They could get 10 or 11 out of that.

If the Cubs aren’t careful, they’ll get Kershaw in a winner take all. Or the Cards. I’d be pretty happy with that either way.

Pirates have a big role to play... 6 against the Brewers, 4 against the Cubs.

The Brewers of course must keep winning- I agree 11 wins will do it, maybe even 10. That could win the division. Cubs pen issues and lack of rest is really taking its toll.

Fun couple weeks of baseball left...

The Brewers have been playing great ball most of the season with only a few hiccups.  Offensively, they’ve been great, and the bullpen too. But the starting pitching is where I think their thin. They’ve got guys who are not historically that good playing above the career numbers.

Not sold on Miley or Gio.  Anderson is hittable. Guerra has not been good in the second half. Chacon has probably been the most consistent, but does he regress to his careers mean in the playoffs.  It certainly helps that starters really only need to go 5 innings before the strong pen takes over.

i think the next two weeks and then the NL playoffs will be interesting because there’s no dominant team or favorite.

Jesus is asleep yet but managed a couple deep flies when needed.  He will rise soon.  Starters are who they are.  Counsell is smart enough to pull them earlier rather than too late.  Bullpen is deep for now with hot and cold which is normal.  Playoff rosters will reduce numbers in pen making 4-5 inning starts perilous.

Wondering when we see more of Shaw or Braun at 1b.  Thames seems lost and if the Reds can't jump start him he may be watching in post season.  Great to see Arcia hitting better.
