Middleton either isn’t 100% healthy or he’s just gotten old.   I don’t see the quickness from him right now and that could be a problem come playoff time.

The Bucks played about as bad of a 4th quarter as they can yet it was still a one possession game.   That’s the good news.  The Sixers also came out and played like they had something to prove.

It's not the loss that's the problem. The article in the Athletic about the 4th quarter defense really called Giannis out as a bigger problem than Middleton. He fouled a 3 point shooter and then half assed it and didn't block out McDaniels who had a put back dunk running right by Giannis. He had 34, but that was one of the worst Giannis games you'll see in terms of effort and focus. the thing that saved him statistically was making 16 of 18 FTs.

The other thing the article points out is that the Bucks didn't adjust their defense to account for the fact it was Niang shooting instead of Tucker. Letting him shoot wide open 3s was just a lack of coaching/execution.

And desire to play one on one ball when the offense had worked so well previously with ball movement was problematic.
