Nigel still struggling to shoot. Bronson still looking for the stroke. Happ could dominate tonight's guy... Iverson the wild card on both ends.
Jacking up 3s. 10 misses in a row...all from 3.
Come on Bucky.
Creighton doubling in the post, tempting Bucky to hit 3's. An 0-10 run to end the half puts em' down 3. I think that they just need to keep shooting when they are open, and they'll fall in the 2nd half.
It is legal to get it in the paint.....anyone seen Happ on O?
This team needs some work
Tough early season game, but the fact there is very little offense other than Koenig and Hayes is cause for concern. Creighton clearly was not going to let Happ beat them in the post and they have a 7 footer to guard him.
It's early and this loss won't matter much in March, but you would have like to see a little more fight here the last 10 minutes of the game. Happ has been clearly out of rhythm.
BK is clearly the best player on the team
Badgers did well on the boards but that's it. Jacking up almost 40 3pt shots at 28% clip isn't good but they turned it over a bunch too.
Better to play like this now than in March.
This game reminded me a lot of early season last year. Getting stagnant with ball movement and jacking threes. I have always believed that the Bucky offense is best when initiated thru the post (Happ or Nigel). The three's definitely occur more within a flow and also those low post guys don't end up drifting out.
The more I think about it, that was a very disappointing loss.
You should really stop thinking about it then.
Gard has lots of film to teach with after that gane... holy moly. But the encouragement I get is they played badly and lost. Play your game and you win. As a coach it's a useful example...
MC, with this veteran team, I do not find it encouraging at all. However, like it has been said, this game will mean nothing when it really matters.
It is hard to beat a top 25 team on their home court. Crieghton is no slouch.
