Hey,Point, she was obviously a Queens fan.

Kind of like how it used to be that you couldn't get yellow margarine.
Does Wisconsin still have the law that you can only get yellow margarine on request in restaurants?

Their 1 year aged cheddar is my favorite. Perfectly balanced (not too mild/not too sharp).
I don't see hoe fedya's link answers my question.
I believe Ellsworth advertises itself as the Cheese Curd Capital of Wisconsin.
By the way, Fedya sounds like a kind of cheese.

Heck, what's really sad is I used to bring fresh curds to the office here in the Twin Cities and get questions like "What are they?", "Aren't they supposed to be deep fried?" and "What do we do with them, just eat them?". The people from Wisconson or the wine connoisseurs were the only ones who just said "Hell yeah!" and dug in.

Just finished a bag of curds from the Ellsworth Cooperative Creamery for lunch today. Co-worker is originally from Ellsworth and he was home for a wedding last sweekend. OF course, he took care of his co-cheesehead

Q: Why is Santa Claus such a good gardener?
A: Because he likes to ho, ho, ho!
[ducking]
Maybe Santa's a pimp?

In a related matter, I got the following email newsletter from the Ellsworth Creamery:
quote:Hello friends, August has always been one of the busiest months for us here at the Creamery and this month is no exception. We've been here, there, and everywhere, and if there's one thing we've learned in our travels, it's that everyone loves cheese! Your enthusiasm and excitement when you visit with us at the Ellsworth Cooperative/Comstock Creamery booth makes us feel especially proud to represent such a great product.
We thought it would be fun to give you a recap of where we've been, and where we're going later this month. If you happen to be attending the same event, we would love for you to stop by and say hello. All the details are below.
One of the largest events, and one that many of you are surely planning to attend later this month, is the Great Minnesota Get-Together, the State Fair! We're excited to once again be the exclusive supplier of cheese curds for the event. What makes our curds so special that the Minnesota State Fair would rely on a sole supplier to provide the 112,000 pounds of deep fried curds required for the event? Good question and we'll share our secret in this newsletter.
