The very best info gleaned from that article?
Well, I hate to do math, bit if I have 'cyphered right...

186 all-time meetings  minus 92 Bears wins = 94 Packer wins!

We've been on the short side of that for way too long; let's stay on the good side for awhile.

Was also interesting that there have been only 2 playoff games in a rivalry approaching 100 years old. I'd guess most years both teams haven't been good at the same time?

No more cringe-worthy than all the f-tards singing "Bear Down," at a Bores game.

I'm not a fan of "Go Pack Go" at all. but the worst I've ever heard is in Denver...

"Innn...commm.....PLEEEETTT!!!"

Every single incomplete pass from the opponents. It's lamest most ridiculous chant I've ever heard

I believe there were a number of ties that need to be taken into account...

Yes , Bears lead all time series  92-88-6.

BTW:  Any Packer fan who actually read that article and felt upset about it must have skin so thin its probably transparent.  Pretty mild stuff.

It would've been nice for the author to include that bit of info, but that's what I get for not doing my due diligence.

BTW, when was the last time the series was tied or the Pack ahead?

It seems we've been on the short end since the 80's....

From 9/13/12

"The Packers and Bears have played 184 games, but the last time the Packers led in the series (11-10-4) was in 1932. The Bears took the lead in the series in 1933 and have never relinquished it."

http://blogs.greenbaypressgaze...-in-all-time-series/

Record in post-season is 1-1

The Bears beat the Packers in 1941, 33-14 & went on to win their 4th Championship.

The Packers won the only other post-season meeting in January 2011, 21-14 on the way to their 13th NFL Championship & 4th Super Bowl title.

Interesting both teams won the championship after beating their rival.

Not a very original story. There is a better story for someone to write, how the Packers and Bears organizations support each other.  While the rivalry is the longest in football each club has on several occasions save the other franchise from bankruptcy.  Packers Bears game has always been each team’s finical bread and butter, each team needs the other healthy for their own bottom line.

"What do you call a Packer fan with half a brain?

My first reaction would be "at least twice as blessed as a Bears fan".

My second was, what kind of a question is that???  Is this to imply that all fans have half a brain?  Or is this to imply some fans have a complete brain?  I would bet that all of us have a complete brain - some of us use less of it than others.  OTOH, maybe I am just over thinking this.

I may have posted this before.

It's a reply I snagged from a Deadspin article and it pretty much sums up my thoughts...

I've always had a healthy respect for the Bears and their fans.
We throw jabs back and forth, but we're all rabid fans and WE SUPPORT OUR TEAM.
We've supported our teams when they stunk, and they both have stunk a LOT over the years.
We support them when they rebuild. We support them when they win. We support them when they lose.

I have zero respect for the Minnesota Vikings or their fans.
The Vikings have been a classless pile of **** ever since Bud Grant retired. The Humpty Dump stinks.
The fans are lousy. It's a terrible football town populated by whiny little pukes who want instant gratification,
in a terrible football state full of stingy Nordics who'd squeeze a nickel til Jefferson burped.
Minnesota doesn't deserve an NFL team. They have trouble hanging onto any sports franchise. The fans STINK.
