SOS - same old sherman

quote:
Recruiting - thumbs up
Preparing team for the game - thumbs up
Halftime adjustments and pep talk - thumbs down

Unfortunately the last one overcomes the benefits of the first two as evidenced by the last two games.

quote:
he's a guy who will maybe get our program to 6-7 wins a year in the SEC..but he WILL NEVER EVER get this program to the next level.

quote:
It's his 4th year now. I don't normally post, and I like Sherman as a person, but I am ****ing tired of settling for mediocrity, and every year, saying NEXT year will be the one. In the meantime we are 0-4 against OSU, and 0-3 against Arkansas.

quote:
No killer instinct and doesn't have the intangibles to lead champions. May be a good guy but not a great coach.

quote:
I want a coach with a little fire in his belly!

I want a coach that goes for it on 4th and 1 because he aint scared of nothin!

quote:
...4th and 2 yards to go and he punts...twice...when we have been running the ball all over the pigs....
sound familiar
The fighting shermans are having some trouble it seems.

There's a reason he hasn't been offered an NFL position.

Nice guy. Ok coach but not a champion. Jeez some of those comments are eerily similar to when he was here. Thank god he's A&M's problem now.
That 4th and short call late in the game, jeeeeez that was haunting.

Sherman was a class act and it would have been great to get him a ring. He just doesn't have the "it" needed to lead a team to the promised land. Even if TT or someone of his caliber had been the GM for all those years, I don't think it would have happened.
I chit you not, I read the "SOS" comments above without looking at the link and had no idea they were from his current college coaching gig (the references to SEC, OSU and Arkansas shoulda been a clue but I thought the comments were probably just out of context). same old, same old for sure.
That's too bad, but unfortunately not surprising. I want him to succeed in college, as I think he's more suited to that game. I watched a good portion of that game yesterday. Same flaws are there, as was said - when something happens to take away his team's momentum, it always seems to snowball and his team folds like cheap suits.
