Is there any other QB in the game you would want in his place. Not Brady, Not Manning, Not Rivers, Not Brees. He has it all. The brain of Joe Montana, the feet of John ELway, the release of Dan Marino, the accuracy of a scoped 30 ought six, the arm of Brett Favre, the touch of Brady, and the heart and humility of Walter Payton.

I thought we as Packer fans were blessed with No 4, but with Rodgers it is like we all died and went to Packer Heaven. It does not get any better than him....

Mike Ditka on Rodgers performance last night (paraphrase)

I've been watching NFL football for 50 years. That was the best single playoff performance by an individual player that I can ever remember.

Left the other guys on Coutdown speechless. I'm almost in awe of how well he played last night. You can pull out all the big names like Jordan or Montana, it was that good.
I wonder how "Air Rodgers" likes playing in GB? He seems to enjoy it. And he signed that contract extension last year. So if I was TT, I'd tear up that agreement and re-sign him for 10 more years.

Brett moved to a shadier part of town. Aaron has the house everyone comes to see.
You know, momentum is a helluva thing. Think about the Eagles game- The Packers had a roll going and James Jnes drops a sure TD pass. If he catches this pass, Rodgers and the team are getting even more confident. Perhaps that momentum would have propelled the Packers to a blowout last week as well.

So my point is that Rodgers has been playing like this for some time. When a WR drops a pass, the team seems to go into a funk. Yesterday the WRs came to play, were sure handed, and made plays. As a result, Rodgers' performance becomes epic. He looks unstoppable.

Perhaps the truth is that he was playing unstoppable the whole time- it just took until now for his teammates to catch up.
None of us fans know what we're talking about. Thinking Rodgers is one of the best ??!! Dumb asses !!!

The real "experts" have spoken on Rodgers since draft day :

~ Holds the ball funny
~ Just another Tedford QB
~ Not athletic
~ Injury prone
~ Can't win the close games
~ Holds the ball too long
~ Can't win a playoff game

This kid is special. I can't believe how good he has become both as a player, team mate and person. Beyond my wildest dreams as a Packer fan !!!
You are not too biased. Barring major injury, Rodgers is going to end up with multiple rings and in the argument for greatest QB ever. He is that good.

I am still in awe of what we witnessed last night. It was the single greatest performance I have ever seen, and it happened on one of the biggest stages. That game, by itself, stands on its own as an major accomplishment. They will never be able to take that away from Rodgers, this Packer team, or the fans. Of course, if this Packer team goes on to win the Super Bowl, it will only enhance the accomplishment.

I can't see the video, because it appears it has been taken down. I would like to hear AR's account, because my understanding is that he is a very kind person that does a great deal of charitable work. Given his history, I believe that he deserves the benefit of the doubt until all facts come out. Perhaps he didn't even see her, which is definitely possible under the circumstances (i.e., his head may have been elsewhere following a huge playoff victory).
I found a portion of the video that Florio cites. Here it is: Link

No story here. Rodgers doesn't even look like he actually saw her. He clearly has his earphones on, and is looking down. It is not like he looked directly at her. To get on him for that is completely unreasonable, especially given his history of charitable work. Florio can eat a...
I guess I'm no longer a Rodgers fan.
Good thing a douchebag Vikings fan wrote an article for us. Just in the nick of time too. Would have really hated to be cheering for Rodgers the whole time he's destroying the Bears next week.
Agreed CJS, AR is a class act, How often are these guys approached for autographs? More than we can imagine, and I would bet mostly by people in the memorabilia business. I would imagine after a while they get hardened, and thank goodness a camera was there to collect the evidence
You know, maybe it's just desserts that Rodgers is getting over now that the attention is on him. You look back over the last 3 years how many games they've pissed away in the closing minutes and he takes too much of the heat for them. The beauty of it is that all it does is motivate the guy, and I like the fact he's playing with a chip on his shoulder. His drive is truly the meal ticket IMO, and I like the fact that he still continues to get questioned and disrespected. He's using that to push the envelope and right now you couldn't ask for anything more.

We are seeing something right now that I recall seeing back in 1995 and 1996 when you knew this team just had "it" at the right time and the right place. Personally, I would be shocked if they lost to the Bears given how locked in these guys are.
Poor Skippy is losing it. This morning the topic was "who had the better game - Cutler or Rodgers"? Of course he kept up with his Jay Cutler went to Vanderbilt man love.

He did say all year long that the Falcons were overrated and not very good so I will give him credit for that.
Who says the Falcons are overrated and not very good? They won 13 games in a very tough division. They just ran into a team playing incredible football on Saturday night. It happens.

The Falcons were pretty fortunate in a couple of games this year.

Rodgers fumbling 1 or 2" before scoring a TD.

Hartley blows an easy FG in their first meating with the Saints.

The Niners game where Roddy White strips the DB on a game ending turnover.

The Baltimore game when one of the WR's (Jenkins?) has an obvious push off on the game winning drive. 60,000 people saw this plain as day but somehow the refs didn't.

They were a solid well coached playoff calibur team but they did have a horseshoe planted firmly up their ass all year. It fell out during the bye.
Nice take on #12 by Michael Lombardi on nfl.com ( link ). (Wish I could figure out how to link to that great photo montage on before- and after-Aaron put up by Brak the other day.)

What is truly shocking is how much better Rodgers has become since he was drafted. This Aaron Rodgers is much different than the quarterback that played at California. Remember he was not picked high in the first round (24th overall in 2005) and was never seriously considered at the No. 1 overall choice, which the 49ers eventually used on Utah's Alex Smith. What makes Rodgers' success with the Packers so fascinating is that Mike McCarthy was on the San Francisco staff that picked Smith. McCarthy might have liked both players then, but was not the person running the draft to actually make the call.

Where Rodgers is most different is in his arm strength, body build and precision-like accuracy. Rodgers did not just hold a clipboard behind Brett Favre. He worked on his craft, improved his body and prepared himself to be ready when his number was called. Rodgers did not take being a first-round pick as he was entitled to anything. He went to work and improved in every phase to make himself the great player he is today. And what is really scary is that he will keep on improving.

The one noticeable area of improvement from his time in college to now is his arm strength. He never displayed this type of rocket or the ability to throw the ball from every angle. He had a good arm, now he has a powerful arm. Part of the reason for the increased velocity is that in college he never had that rock-hard body. He appeared as if the weight room was for lineman not quarterbacks. Now he looks like he enjoys the weight room and has made his meek body into one that can take a hit and drive the football.

Rodgers is a testament to combining talent with hard work. His God given ability made him a first-round pick, his work ethic has made him great.
Too biased? I don't think so.
Over the course of 3 playoff games, he has already broken NFL and Packers records.
Not Montana, nor Marino, not Manning, not Brady, and sure as hell not Favre.
