That really p*ssed you off, didn't it?

"They were repeated in many printed sources, and are still regarded by many as authentic Lincoln quotes. Carl Sandburg, Lincoln's most famous biographer, dismissed them as spurious."

When it comes to Lincoln, I think I'll take Sandburg's word for it over yours.

It's sourced. If you don't agree that's your problem.

I think Lincoln said all of these lines shortly after posing for this picture....
1. *issed? That's your imagination. I asked a question. You're the one that got all huffy.
2. I'm glad Carl Sandburg is the end all be all.
3. Here's another quote from Lincoln along the same vein but I guess it should be off limits too:
"Let not him who is houseless pull down the house of another, but let him work diligently and build one for himself, thus by example assuring that his own shall be safe from violence when built.

Relax dude...it's just an argument on the innerwebs. - Ben Franklin
1. Not at all. I also wasn't the one that went digging up four websites in six minutes.

The link I posted is sourced. Again, if you still choose not to believe it that's up to you.

2. No, but when it comes to Lincoln Sandburg has a bit more credibility than you do.

Sorry.

3. Why would that quote (or any legitimate one anyway) be "off limits"?

For someone who didn't get upset, that's comes off as a pretty defensive comment (IMO).

Along with that though, if revenue sharing goes away as Jerruh Jones has stated AND we go into an uncapped pay system ala Major League Baseball then you can pretty much hand the NFC North to the Bears 90% of the time and the Super Bowl trophy will rotate between Dallas, New York, Chicago, Washington DC and whatever super billionaire owner in the future who will spend to no end. Green Bay won't be able to compete, Minnesota won't be able to compete and neither will Detroit...Every 3 or 4 years one of the lowly "other" teams in the North will scratch out a wild card or division crown, and we can only hope post season appearances don't come around like they do currently for the Brewers.

The thing that really pisses me off about this is that not only will football become like baseball but I don't think the Joneses of the NFL give a s*** about destroying the NFL as long as they can buy Lombardi's.
When the Pack sucks on the revenue-sharing teat like the bi-queens rather than pays into it, then I'll be concerned. Until then, the Pack is solid and the bi-queens can't survive without handouts.
