Agent: Three teams have called about Randy Moss
Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on February 14, 2012, 12:44 PM EST

Randy Moss’ decision to return to football has already attracted some attention around the league.

Appearing on PFT Live Tuesday, agent Joel Segal said that three teams called him with interest regarding Moss in the last day. He expects to hear from more teams around the Combine next week.

Segal wouldn’t give away what teams have called. He expected some teams to show serious interest, while others were just curious. Segal isn’t sure if Moss will work out for teams because he hasn’t talked about it at length with Moss.

In fact, Segal said he learned about Moss’ decision to unretire by reading PFT.

We’ll have more from Segal’s conversation later in the day on the site.

Randy Moss says he’s “coming to tear somebody’s heads off, man”
Posted by Mike Florio on February 13, 2012, 11:29 PM EST

ReutersIn 1998, then-rookie Randy Moss nonchalantly vowed to come to the NFL and “rip it up.” And he did.

Now, a season after retiring, Moss has made a more colorful promise. “I’m coming to tear somebody’s heads off, man,” Moss said in a compelling Monday night video session on Ustream, roughly 12 hours after using the technology to announce his return to football.

He dubs his casual laptop encounters with fans “Moss TV,” and he says he won’t be doing anything with the media. “I don’t wanna be on nobody’s radio, I don’t wanna be on nobody’s newspaper,” Moss said. “This is Moss TV, this is gonna continue to be Moss TV.”

He says he’s “fully committed” to playing, that he’s “still got it,” that he can indeed still run a 4.3 in the 40, but that he doesn’t need to be the No. 1 receiver on his next team.

Obviously one of these teams must be GB. See ya Donald...

The standard agent comment is always "at least 3 teams" are interested

Moss has no role on this Packers team, but it sure would piss off Hattiesburg if he did.

Saints are facing some FA WR decisions, might be a landing spot for him

Eagles could bring in Plaxico and Moss to add to the menagerie in Philly

Cowboys ? Ravens ? Lions ?
Well aside from the minor details that 1.) he nut's 2.) he still plays when he wants to play 3.) despite his announcement from his couch saying he can still run a 4.3 40, plenty of scouts watching him from 2010 on noted he lost considerable speed...

Don't see why any team wouldn't want him.
I can think of one team that isn't afraid to let it leak out they are interested in him returning to the NFL.

The team at the bank handling his mortgage payment.

I'm guessing the $$$ is running on the light side by now. And becasue he's "coming to tear somebody's heads off" It's safe to assume teaching English isn't part of the "Life after Football" plan.
Moss is and always has been a head case. He's not in-your-face like T.O. or Ochocinco, but he has always quit on his team when things didn't go the way he wanted them to, including twice in Minnesota, New England, Oakland, and Tennessee. Add to the fact that he was freely available for the 2011 season with no takers.

Andrew Brandt has a good piece on this at NFP, stating that the majority of players do not retire, but are forced to retire due to lack of interest of any team.
I can handle T.O. and actually like Chad Johnson (he's very good to his fans even) but Moss I have no time for because he's just a douchebag. TO's never been accused of quitting or not working hard, just being self-centered. Moss is a destructive narcissist.

I can't wait to see him in Green & Gold this Autumn. Rodgers might throw 80 TD's

I hope they place a camera in Hattiesburg. Hee hee!!
Owens actually had a decent year in 2010 with Cincy ( Link).

Not sure why he didn't play in 2011.

No way the Pack brings in any of these guys but I think they all have something left if they behave but of course...a very big if...

A.C.L.

Actually he was ready to play in November. He held a workout day for NFL personel people but not 1 team had a rep there.
