Bad hader tonight.

He wasn't sharp, but a shit load of bad luck. The "hit batter", a broken bat single, and a little league like error by Grisham to let in the winning run.

It's only the winning run if they let it be the winning run......

The last at bat to tie will likely be by Arcia.

Arcia can be a hero.

This is good for Hader and the Brewers

He was dog shit tonight on off speed pitches and quite frankly needs to get another pitch other than the 4 seamer

This is the right way to end the year.  Just like the season, it all started so well only to end with a gut punch

No Yelich and honestly Cain and Braun are probably 75% at best and they almost pulled it off.  Gamel didn’t miss that one by much.

Ouch.

Fun year.

Dodgers would have rolled us.

Agreed. The Brewers had a great run to make the one game playoff. They were obviously missing Yelich and Braun, Cain, and Moustakas probably would all be sitting out if it were the middle of the regular season.

Both Scherzer and Strasburg make more than the entire Brewers staff also. They should win.

and I don’t mean to say it wasn’t a good year, but damn......hitting a batter completely turned the game around.

It was as much a foul ball as a hit batter. If they'd have ruled it a foul ball on the field it would have stayed that way.

And a single on a pitch that sawed the bat off was next.

The ball hit the handle of the bat then it hit the batter's hand and then it hit his shoulder as it bounced into the field of play. Grandal got the ball and tagged the National's batter as he trotted off to first base. It should have been called a foul ball, at best. The batter should never have been allowed to go to first base.

That’s the season in microcosm...

That game really was. Leaving runners in scoring position and then some bad breaks. Add in a depleted roster with guys playing not at a 100% and you have 2019 in a nutshell.

Hader didn't have command but that was as unlucky of an inning as one could have. I will even add in Saturday night's dinger as unlucky. Some rookie slappy way behind on a fastball squares one up.

Even with all of the above, I am so impressed with how this team handles adversity and never gives up. How this offseason is handled will determine whether the window is still in the early stages of being opened.

NOTE:

Dear All Professional Sports,

Please get rid of replay altogether. It is more frustrating to see an obvious call not overturned than a human making a mistake.

Thank You,

C-Boy
