A longwinded, all over the place post follows. I could break it up, but I'm not going to, because this ain't classic literature.

I just wanted to make you aware of a small change I am making at Ramblings.

The hyphen is dead to me.

For my adult life, I have given into "proper" grammar and typed self-aware and anti-tax. Not anymore. It occurred to me these ridiculous rules and suggestions have only survived because we allow them to do so. A while ago, I stopped capitalizing west and east, because, well, it's stupid.

Same thing now. I realize very few of you would have noticed right away, or just thought I missed it, but over time, many of you would have, because Ramblings is not for the unintelligent or inadvertent online reader. Ages ago, someone wrote in and said I should open up the comments section, and it would be more like talk radio. I replied that, I hope Ramblings will never even remotely resemble talk radio.

I don't make haphazard flips because my values remain the same. My belief system is based on just a few principals; freedom is good, free markets are wonderful, and the government should be doing as little as possible, and getting out of the way whenever possible. This country was founded by a simple document, and has managed to grow into the greatest in history based on that.

Hyphens. Freaking hyphens. Commie, freedom hating, elitist hyphens. Just what those college professors want you to use.

It is a bit shocking that Al hates the Declaration of Independence though.

I'm not into the NFL, as I enjoy a good game, but don't get into it as many do.

I tell you what though, if I was a fan, one mention of OTA's, their acronym for offseason training activities...their self important way of saying practice or mini camp, would have me reevaluating my fandom mighty quick.

hyphens are a waste of time, but, commas, use them as often, as, possible.

As far as I can tell, and I can tell little, al is opposed, nay despises, saying a practice is not a practice, or, he is opposed to practice altogether. Perhaps, just speculating, us casual's, should be evaluating being fans of this, and only this, particular sport. So, mention OTA's, and al will, immediately even, stop being a fan.
Brown people (or at least people whose names make them sound brown) are not Murcan anyway and really don't deserve to have their names spelled correctly. Not to mention, Hawaii is not really Murca.

I guess we get to add yet another type of punctuation that Al violently hates as well. Lotta hate in our hero. Guess that's what being an unapologetic patriot is all about.
