I don't think anyone can argue that overall the 9ers have superior personnel, but the Packers have a significant advantage at the most important position. I guess we'll find out tonight if that'll be enough.

I keep wondering why people say this?

we have the proven personnel now to dictate matchups, they do not ... Ex: Is patrick willis even on the field if MM goes 4 WR's? can their extra DB's stick with our worst WR's? Is JSmith healthy?

Sure CKaeperdick is a Wildcard, but IMO we have the outside DBs to commit other guys in the box, our interior DLine is steppin up big time ... VD is the xfactor on their offense, if Woody/? handles him, IMO CK has to be the hero with the feet.

Gonna be a helluva matchup game between coaches, may the best team win.

If we stay even on special teams and stay even on Turnovers, IMO the Pack wins.
I think all this shows is that we have better coaching and better chemistry from all involved. Football is a team sport and a group of all-stars will not necessarily make a Super Bowl winner. Adrian Petterson is the best running back, but he'll never win a SB. Same with Calvin Johnson. So what if we don't have a bunch of players who are best at their respective positions. I'd rather have a team that plays together with skill and precision. McCarthy and his coaches deserve credit for fielding one of the best teams in the NFL with a bunch of no-names (OK, I was kidding about that).
43 votes for Manning, and 4 for Rodgers?

Rodgers had a higher QB rating, threw more touchdowns, fewer interceptions....and he had 4 votes. Good God, the 'slurp on Manning' bandwagon is in full effect.

I guess the fact that Manning played in the AFC West, with the 7-9 Chargers, the 4-12 Raiders and 2-12 Chiefs just slipped their mind. Meanwhile, the Packers had two 10-6 teams in their division, and had half their offensive players out for much of the year.

LSouth, don't let facts get in the way of blind media bias.

I took great delight last night in Manning's Favre-like OT pick and resultant loss (again) in a big game. If it wasn't for the one Super Bowl, Manning would be the most over-hyped QB in the history of the NFL. Vick is right there, too. So is Romo. Hmmm
