I saw Murray head turn as he left pocket and said looked like a face mask but there was no replay.
regardless he could have got 3-5 more yards and still out of bounds to save a timeout. All around terrible play.

Agreed. He was spot on with his analysis when AZ kicked the FG to go up 22-16.
If they go for it on 4th down and don't make it, they are still up 3 and the Vikes have the ball at their own 4. If a team is down only 3, they are playing for a FG and won't go for it on 4th down once in FG range. When down 6 though, a team has to go for it and will be more aggressive.
It set up exactly that way. 4th & 5 at the AZ 33 would have probably been a FG attempt by the Vikes if they are down 3. But down 6 they are going for it and they ended up picking up 12 yards leading to the eventual game winning TD.
