I am getting tired of the monthly charge for my 'bundle' with TWC. I've looked into Dish or DirectTV and the prices get too high for my situation. 3 kids at home (all 14 and older) so there are tv's everywhere in our house. Getting enough receivers would make the price of any dish package close to what I'm paying now.

I've been looking at Roku, HULU, Netflix, etc, but want to see if anyone else on the board has any of these. The wife and kids (all girls) need to be able to see their frickin' soapies that the currently dvr during the day - all of the network shows are available on their websites, so I don't think will be an issue.

Any suggestions/thoughts from others who have something other than calbe or dish??

We dropped our cable when it jumped to $70 for nothing but crap. I'm not interested in dish or direct unless they come out with a mini-package of 80 channels or less, I can live with the top 20 channels I use to watch I don't need all the other crap!!!

We are living the old fashion way, the old antenna!!! Where I live we get, 21 channels, ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox as well as THIS, MeTV, Antenna TV, 3 different PBS station twice. IONLife, qubo, and ION as well as a county music video channel and a rock video channel called COOL TV. We also are Netflixing, Hulu-ing and using Amazon Prime and my children 17 - 20 still living at home haven't complained once. I myself am watching more TV, I perfer the old shows on MeTV and Antenna TV and THIS shows alot of Movies I missed growing up.
