So, this week's coverage will probably present us with an unprecented blitz from all facets of the media. Dont believe everything you read and hear...good or bad. And remember too, the guys on the radio and TV wont be playing on the field. And this too, most of them dont know much more than the rest of us. They just get paid more to give their opinions.

Starting tomorrow, it will be hard even for the non-football fan to get away from it all.

Sit back and enjoy the ride!

"I don't care too much about Dallas or doing anything down there," Sitton said. "That's the general consensus of our guys. We're going down there to win the Lombardi Trophy. That's it."

Collins agreed.

"This is a business trip," Collins said. "We're going down there for one reason, and that's to become Super Bowl champs."

"I wouldn't be surprised if there are some distractions, but I can't sit here and worry about it," wide receiver Jordy Nelson said. "We're a young team, but mature, and we have an opportunity to do something special. Everyone knows that, everyone wants that. And I don't think anyone's going to jeopardize that." continue

Past the click; more quotes from John Kuhn, details of the Packers' schedule in Dallas and more...

Everyone's talking up the Packers. I guess what else can they do? There are only two teams left.

The photo thing got some play on The Herd. But Trent Dilfer squelched that, because he stuck up for Rodgers making the comments about not sticking with your team. Dilfer said basically, it is the difference between "the good and the best". Good players may want to take off and rehab elsewhere. But the best players will do what's best for the team and them. He also said Rodgers has a "little edge" and he is a leader. He is not afraid to voice criticism on bad plays and not scared of criticism for his bad plays.

Steelers players are sure trying to sell it too. Didn't seem to help the Patriots much against the Giants. Didn't help the Packers much against the Broncos. Didn't help the Rams much against the Patriots.

Also I find it funny they keep bringing up "photogate" but they don't mention the story about how none of the Steelers would vouch for Roethlisberger when Goodell interviewed them.

Coke Irvin said it's kind of important, but the media overrates it.

the SB may be in Arlington but the packers hotel is in Irving.
They will practice in Dallas at SMU or Highland Park which can be considered Dallas....so there's still going to be distractions and nightlife all over the place.
Way back in the mid-80's, I went to Dallas for a month two different times for school. There was a swingers club (on Lemon Ave., if memory serves) that used to put pamphlets under the door of the hotel room every Friday inviting us to come on out. Unfortuantely or otherwise, it was couples only, so I never got to go. Frowner

Also got a tip from a 'friend to visit an establishment called "Popsicle Toes". Got very drunk riding around trying to find it, and once we did and went inside, we quickly found out it was a place where the 'paleskins' didn't frequent!

Per, "Sticky" Shields tweet at GBPG, he's hanging out with Quarless, they have no idea what to do in Dallas and are looking for something to do.

Curfew is 1:00 a.m. per MM and no alcohol restrictions this week.

I'm presuming the players don't have rental cars in Dallas so they'll be taking cabs/limos?
