Myron always had a higher calling. I recall reading about him back then, wanted him for the Pack actually. Only did 2 years in the NFL, probably just enough to help pay for med school. The former Oxford Scholar has certainly proven to be a very good role model, a FSU grad no less. See link:

Cool story. He'll do far more good as a neurosurgeon than he ever would as a football player. Wonder if he went to FSU on scholarship? If so, he's a guy who shows what a college scholarship is worth, not only to him but to others.
You know what Florida State and University of Florida kids have in common?
They both got accepted to Florida State.
But seriously, great story!
Gators or Seminoles - either way your survival is not guaranteed.
Yes I remember Myron Rolle. Congrats to him.
If I remember clearly, he was a Rhodes Scholar. Really impressive young man.
Umm, it's Rogue Scholar.
Wrong. Rhoads Scholar.

My dad just retired from the staff at St. Louis University medical school, he told me that last month he was walking down the hall and ran into Samkon Gado, he thinks he is finishing his residency or fellowship there. It is nice to hear storeis of guys who used there athletic talent to then springboard it into something bigger and useful to society.
Man, what a breath of fresh air!
Very nice to see an athlete use college to actually learn, and use his NFL monies to accomplish something in life besides making multiple babies with multiple baby mamas. Someone who can speak articulately instead of mumbling slang.
Way to go, Gado!
Is is articulate when a Southerner sounds like he has **** in his mouth or a Northerner hits their vowels so hard you think they're about to break into a yodel?
I can't understand any of you ****ers. My doctor can sound like ****ing Boomhauer and have a harem as long as he/she knows what they're doing.
If you can't understand us, perhaps you need to lay off the sauce.

Of course he's a good student. Nigerian parents don't **** around with academics.
Good to see he and Rolle living Robert Smith's dream. I wonder if that Vikings piece of **** is still going on about his desire to attend med school.

Not everybody marches to the beat of the same drummer. What works for you may not for the next guy.

You realize he called as all the N word, right. Read it again. See?
Hey.
When it comes to doctors, I don't see colors---they could all be green as far as I'm concerned.
I just feel more comfortable with light green doctors.
What the **** are you talking about, ****er?
"honkeyer"?
So a little more Kazoo and a little less Marvin the Martian.

What's Marteeeeeeen Gramatica got to do with this?
All the doctors - including specialists - are younger than me. And they come from all nationalities. I recently had an eye operation and the assisting specialist was a young female Vietnamese doctor. She knows her stuff.
So come on.....just send em all back to where they come from eh??
NOT.
