A. J. could have gone whining to the media but he did not. He kept his mouth shut, accepted it, and still did his job when called upon.  He didn't leave the field early, didn't stay on the bench at half time or any of the other stuff whiney bitches have done lately.  MM and TT have built a team that is in it for the journey.

This is one of the major advantages of drafting and developing your own players. Lots of FA sometimes means lots of egos. Kind of the way the St. Louis Cardinals in baseball do it. I think TT and MM have instilled "The Packer Way" of doing things.

That's ridiculous.

Rusty has a friend?

I mean besides Fedya.

Err, Rusty had to be hatched at some point. He needed parents to achieve that.

I too have tickets on the Packers side 6 rows up - section 108 I think.  My family is from western NY and 12 of us are going.  Half are Packers fans and half are Bills fans.

Good point. He is no Bill Belichick.

One of my co-workers also made the point that he felt the Pats were holding back. I asked him why he thought that and why he couldn't say the same thing about MM. His answer?

"I guess I'm giving Belichick too much credit, huh"? Translation? We didn't deserve to beat the great Bill Belichick, because we have an inferior coach. This guy is also a big Favre cock slurper.

The media has been selling the Belichick thing hard for a decade and they are having a hard time updating their memes. Same here at X4, fans have spent the better part of a decade sucking his cock and are having a hard time updating their views as well.

Bill is a great coach, BFD.  So is McCarthy and several others

With back-to-back articles from SI, the media is coming around on MM and laying the foundation to sing his praises too...so be it. But I did enjoy MM schooling The Emperor, not only for the Win, but also for the cognitive dissonance it causes for the fanboys

There will be no let-up vs Atlanta, these guys are focused on their goals

Huh?  A 26-21 regular season win at home that was undecided until the Patriot's final drive is a "schooling?"  And is cause for "cognitive dissonance?"

Are ya ****tin' me?

3 SB wins to 1

5 SB appearances to 1

MM is a fine coach.  The Packers are a wonderful franchise.

BB, whether folks like it or not, is destined for the HoF and almost all football historians will regard him to be a great coach.

Maybe some day MM will also be so regarded.

But, anyway, keep slinging the poop.  The homers are lovin' it.

No, you do NOT hear me.

When Lombardi got trounced by the Lions in 1962, did the world turn upside down?  Was our emperor no longer an emperor?  Did the football world agonize in cognitive dissonance?

MM belongs on the same field as BB.  Never said he didn't.  BB had no master plan of purposely losing.  Never said he did.  Pats may not win the SB.  Never said they will.

If the GM jobs were staffed by the 'realists' here at X4, it would probably go in this order:

1. BB

2. Payton

3. Caroll

4. Jim Harbaugh

5. John Harbaugh

6. Mike Sherman

7. Bert Faver

8. Themselves

9. The Immortal Kevin Sumlin

10. Greg Roman

11. The guy sitting up against the dumpster at the liquor store drinking his own piss out of a bottle.

12. Ronald Reagan's corpse

13. Themselves again

Each situation is different for all 32 teams. Some need to sell tickets and so for them choosing the most popular coach makes more sense. Some need a defensive mind, some need a guy who can work with the current GM. Bill wouldn't be the choice in GB because the Executive Committee is committed to (2) men for the GM/Coach role and there are other teams who operate the same way.

Bill is a HOF coach, one of the best ever -  but he's past his prime and past his apex in the NFL.

If you're hiring based on the past, he's your guy. But ever since they took away his cheating, he's not done quite as well as when he had the videos to review.

Back- to- back Super Bowl losses when he had the better team and better QB attest to that don't they ?

I'll give you another concrete example- in 2006 the BB's beat the Packers 35-0

GB also busted a Pats video guy in the stands at Lambeau and Mangini copped to it when he left NE as a scorned coach. They cheated. They knew the defensive signals from videotaping them, despite that being verboten

So, with the benefit of cheating, they beat the crap out of a young NFL HC

Without the benefit of cheating, its a completely different story

Going forward, I'll take MM and you can have BB. Let's meet back here in 5 years and we'll see who has more Titles and wins. But that's just like my opinion man

And finally, I'll cop to a little truth on this topic - I really like poking sticks and watching all the meme-o-philes twist themselves into a pretzel when somebody dares to question The Emperors awesomeness.

Thanks for playing your role so well

Which NFL Team(s) are making the call? There are GMs out there who can find players but can't look past the shiny coach syndrome. Why else did Rex get a job?

A lot of us, me included, have lamented in the last 2-3 years how MM was out-coached in certain games. This most recent game vs the Pats was the exact opposite. MM took BB to school, and there's no denying that.

I think things mostly even themselves out over time, but it's likely that MM is growing as a coach, even when it appears he has stagnated.

I was looking something to whine about! Remember that play calling at the goal line with Favre at the Ralph a few years ago? I can't remember if it was the stupid quick hitters to Kuhn or three straight passes...

I think that was a 'Bushed" game as well...

What I remember was Favre getting hit in the face with the shot gun snap. And later the Pack drove almost the length of the field riding on Ahman and then Bert threw a pick near the goaline.

I know of one game where the ref called "holding" in the endzone for a Bills' safety.  We were down 27-20 (close to that).  Under 2 minutes left.  3rd and 18 or something unGodly...Favre drops back in the endzone and throws one of his patented lasers for a 1st down out at the 30 yard line.   We lose.  It's one of those calls that isn't called the entire game, but all of sudden the ref calls it on that play.   Very suspicious from what I recall.

I really have no idea of the above.  But, if true, then BB is not as I described him.

Regardless, the issue I raised is just because someone thinks someone is real good at something, it doesn't mean he is a fan of that person and less a fan of his team.
