Auburn @ Arkansas.......and arkansas really stinks...

Fun fact of the day (from the broadcast) - since taking a 7-0 lead vs South Carolina Arkansas gave up 111 straight points before scoring their field goal vs. Auburn.  That's pretty damn impressive.

I heard some pregame show say that ARK was still 2-3 years away from being able to compete in the SEC. While that may buy Beilama some time to put his program together, it will make the pressure that much greater about year 4 if things are not looking much better.

 

What in the hell was Bert thinking?

Bert's annual salary just about doubled going to Arkansas.  

 

Someone forgot to tell him that it's still, well, Arkansas, and they aren't exactly college football immortality no matter how much money Jerruh Jones pumps into that program.  

 

Still, the local yokels will probably fawn all over him anyway - at least for the time being.  He's got the part down cold- he's a mouthbreathing jerk that flaps his gums and talks a good game and that works for folks that aren't used to integrity or winning.   Good luck with that.

Arkansas just took a serious gut punch/groin kick from LSU backup freshman QB who led a 99 yard drive completing a 50 yard prayer at the gun to send Arkansas to a winless SEC season.
