The next 2 weeks, 10 of their next 13 games are against the Pirates and Cubs (the other 3 against SF). 6 of those at home. Really have to pound away on these lower tier teams, of which the Cubs are now one having gutted their roster. Go on a big run here because it gets quite a bit stiffer the rest of the way.
Too bad they couldnβt have picked up a game or 2 on the Reds, they are also 7-3 in their last ten. As MC said , the next couple of weeks are big. Win 9 or 10 and they should be in great position for the drive.

I'll take that win every game for the NL Championship vs. Giants or Dodgers.
Polanco pulled a walk off by Garcia back inβ¦ wowβ¦
Ouch.
Check that- Escobar hit that liner in the ninthβ¦ fuckβ¦ then they get blooped to death in the 10th and theyβre going to lose this game.
Bad News is you blew a 4-0 lead against one of the worst teams in MLB and let a golden opportunity to gain a game on every team in the division slip through.
Good News is that no one of any significance in the NL gained ground on you.
Would be great if Peralta can go 7+ today, as the BP is gonna be an adventure for the next week or so...
When Yelich tested positive it leaked very quickly that he had been vaccinated. He'll be back pretty quickly after the 10 days are up.
When Hader tested positive, Counsell declined to say whether he'd been vaccinated. Hader was idiotic enough to not get vaccinated and it may cost the team a few games in the standings that could make a huge difference.
Hader struggled before the A S break. Maybe the extra rest will do him some good.
How about Sternsβ¦ signs Wong as a FA, then trades for Adames, Tellez, and Escobar mid-season- remakes the entire infield and now theyβre 21 games over .500 and just a few games back from having the best record in the NL.
And did not trade Hader in the offseason
Adames is pure joy. What a spark.

And also stuck it out with Corbin Burnes.

I trust Stearns, but at some point you canβt just defer to taking flyers on guys and hope it works out.
