Sloppy start to the 2nd half as Badgers lead Houston by 10, now. Make it 12. Badgers led 40-20 at the half.

Wahl with Wisconsin's last 6 points.

Houston upping the D pressure and it is working

Badgers' 3 point shooting left the building, so far, in this half. Lead down to 6 with Davison at the FT line.

WTF happened. Checked in at the half an W is up 20... check back in now and it's a 5 point game under a minute left.

Tale of two halves. Badgers were white hot in the 1st half and went polar in the 2nd. Houston went on a 25-11 run in the 2nd half, but couldn't get the game winning shot off, as time ran out.

A win is a win. Badgers shot 10 of 11 FT in 2nd half and 12 of 15 for the game.  Houston was 8 of 15 for the game.  Tomorrows Championship Game  once again will be on ESPN at 4:00 Kohl Center Time (CST).   F'um BUCKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

JD is becoming an elite offensive player- but his defense is real deal. 4 steals. 2 blocks. Checking then opponent’s best G… he has all the tools. He could play in the NBA if he can continue to be this kind of 2-way player. He has a lot of Dwayne Wade in him.

Here’s a problem that is going to surface more and more as this team moves forward and they start taking things that they like to do away- they only had 11 assists. Less than half their made baskets were by assist. Teams are going to start making it harder for Davis to shake loose, and force other guys to beat them. Houston did that more in the second half, and they got back in the game.

Pretty decent showing for the Badgers against a good Houston squad.   They did just enough in the 2nd half to hang on and get the W.  Davis has certainly added an element to the team on both ends of the court.

Not sure how the rest of the season will play out, but it’s an encouraging start to the year for both Wisconsin and Marquette.   Hopefully (like the Bucks) they can keep this going to make for a fun season of hoops to follow.

Chucky has the tools to become a great defender

2 assists at halftime, shooting 31%. They need to inject some playmaking desperately on this team.

They look a little, shall we say pooped.  Still in it tho.

Love that Hepburn hit both those FTs. Excellent that a Freshman didn’t shrink in the moment.

Wahl showed out well. Big time bucket in the clutch. Davis is a star. Still don’t like 4 total assists in the game… really not a good sign.

Damn impressive.

The Davis guys are from La Crosse…… ♥️ ♥️ ♥️  I love this team….Brad Davidson might just possibly be my new boyfriend!!!!  Never have had one this young.  😂 🤣 😂  I really think he’s the, and pardon this, the balls of this team……he’s dripping blood last night,  stuffs a Kleenex in it and keeps playing.  I ♥️ this team.  And #1 Davis…….a gawd.  So fun watching them.

At this point, it looks like he is getting the ball to make plays and score points.  The assists will come when word gets out and teams start double-teaming him.

He appears to be playing up to and beyond his expectations and potential, like you say, and absolute star.  Wahl's game is up, as is Crowl's.  Even Chuck_E's in Love Hepburn flashing some ability today! Woo hoo!!

This is a team that Gard should get full credit for exceeding everyone's pre-season expectations.  Great redemption for him so far.  They played like a well coached team against quality opponents. Houston and St. Mary's were both good teams and we straight up outplayed them both.

Oh come on......was for dramatic purposes.......he’s the balls of this team.....love him, and he will be the 5th year senior to bring the Badgers to stardom.  JMHO.  

Very good article from SI about the Badgers and the Maui Invite.  I think it says a lot about Gard and his style of teaching bb.

4 assists… that’s not indicative of “team” play. It’s indicative of a lack of play making and a lack of film on how they’re playing with this new group. This will change.

They’re still reluctant to pass the ball into the post, which is a problem that dates back to the start of Gard’s tenure.

Got a undefeated Georgia Tech team coming up followed by Marquette, Indiana and Ohio State.    Should be fun.

The Maui Invite Championship got them to #23 in the AP Poll.
