Agree.  It's a 4-game season right now for the B1G Season Title.   Purdon't won their Game 1 on Tuesday (albeit in OT but still a wine). We have to match them with a win at O$U tonight.

I'm greedy.   I want BOTH titles this season!  Go Bucky!

OSU throwing up prayers and in they go. Badgers get 3 offensive rebounds and miss 3 bunnies. 

They're lifeless out there- is there a pulse? Missing layups? No energy on D? Did they show up sedated? 

This team SHOULD be better than this. But good shooters are becoming bad shooters all of a sudden. What are they doing at practice? Why is the result the same every game? 

Koenig is the only Badger doing any scoring. Why does it seem like, in the past few games where we have struggled, we have only one player doing any scoring?  We need everyone to contribute now!  The defense looks flat footed. I thought they turned it around in the Maryland game. Guess not.

Pathetic... Gard cannot keep forcing the square peg in the round hole. Need to let these kids play loose- it's stiff, unsure, second guessing... and that's on the coach.

Ha had a lineup with Pritzle, Vitto, 25, Showy and Hayes on the floor for a while.  Not going to scare many teams with that.

This team is so completely lost... but this happens in conference play. You start playing other teams and it's different. 

That said, this might be a 7 seed we're looking at. So much for arguing too 4 a couple weeks ago...

They have no one besides Koenig and Trice that can break someone down off the dribble.

Bucky needs to get their **** together

Bucky can't make a toilet seater with three rebounds on a single possession and almost every three pointer OSU throws up goes in. The Badgers aren't done losing, either. We face MSU and Minnesota the next two games and both are very hot right now. Also, screw the OSU play by play guy who brags about singing the OSU fight song. What a douche!

Boring team. I stopped watching well into the first half.  

They hit a wall.  Agree about BORING, but I still see too many unforced errors.  O$U seemed to hit a 3 whenever we started a comeback and needed a stop.  We are just not playing tough defense like we are use to seeing.  Shots sometimes don't go in, but no excuse for poor defense.  Gonna be a long 2 weeks.

Hard to say they were playing much defense at all when you give up 83. Not really convinced this team is all that good based on what I've seen lately.

I think Music City makes the key point. The only guy on this team that can  knock down shots off the dribble either with a one on one move or getting a ball screen is Koenig. Trice hit some shots in garbage time, but let's see him do it consistently when it matters.

Teams have figured them out. Double team Happ or Hayes hard with a second big guy in the post and make anyone other than Koenig beat them with outside shots. They can't do it.

The Badgers played poorly overall last night, but there was a key potential turning point that happened about midway through the second half. They had clawed back to within 56-47 and had the ball. They fed the post, got a double team which lead to a wide open corner 3 from Pritzl which missed. OSU got the rebound and hit a three in semi-transition to go back up 12. A 56-50 score would have put some significant pressure on OSU. That was basically the closest they got for the rest of the game.

We knew what we had with Koenig, Hayes, Happ, Showalter, and Vitto Brown coming into the season. They aren't any worse than they were last year. We needed some development from the younger players and they've been very disappointing. The Badgers will end up something like 26-10 this year after the last 3 games, the Big 10 tourney, and a first or second round NCAA exit. That's not a bad season.

Next year is not looking good right now. Happ, Trice, and then who? Iverson, Thomas, Jordan Hill, Pritzl, Van Vliet, and Illikainen have not taken that next step. Happ might be triple teamed next year.

Good points, MP.  I too cringe when Illikaninen puts up an outside jumper.  Same with Thomas.
