Alabama with a miracle to keep their playoff hopes alive…if they beat Georgia next week…they have to be in.

The committee may have some really tough calls this year.

Florida State looks to be in trouble right now without their starting QB, so that might make things easier. But if they'd win out they are in.

If Michigan beats Iowa, they are obviously in. It's obviously not likely to happen, but if Iowa beats Michigan, then all hell breaks lose for the Big 10. Iowa isn't getting a bid with 2 losses and one of the worst offenses in the country. You'd think the Big 10 still gets a bid, and I think Michigan will go even with a loss but who knows? I'm guessing Michigan will win by 20+ and be the 1 or 2 seed.

Washington and Oregon play each other. Washington is 12-0 and Oregon is 11-1 with their only loss being at Washington by a score of 36-33. You have to figure whoever wins that Pac10 title game is in. You can't keep an unbeaten Washington out and you can't keep a 1-loss Oregon out if their only loss is to a team they beat on a neutral field and lost by 3 in a road game.

If those 3 teams are in (Florida State, Michigan, and Washington/Oregon) and Georgia wins those are your 4.

If Alabama beats Georgia and Texas wins out, then I don't know what you do if you have one spot left. I don't what you do if you have 2 spots left let alone 1 spot. You would have three 12-1 teams.

Georgia would be a 2-time depending national champion with one loss to Alabama.

Alabama would win the SEC title but would have lost at home to Texas by 10.

Texas would have beaten Alabama but lost at home to Oklahoma by 4 points on a TD with less than 15 seconds left.

Which one of those teams (or two of those teams) get left out if there is only one spot?

The most likely scenario is that Georgia and Michigan win and they are 1 and 2. The winner of Washington/Oregon is #3 and then the committee has to choose between 1-loss Texas and 1-loss Ohio State if Florida State loses tonight or in their title game. In that case, Texas would get in. If Texas would lose to Oklahoma State in their title game, then Ohio State gets the 4 spot.
