The Gophers are coming off a huge win over Rutgers while Bucky is hoping to come away with a "W" in their final Big Ten game of the season.

Bucky feeding Crowl a lot, so far. 6 points for Crowl, early.
Nice D by Gilmore
Just hope Bucky can beat these losers…..they’ve only won 8 games all year. Bucky better win this one.
Wahl vs Ola Joseph in a 15 rounder tonight.
Essegian needs to get into the weight room.
Hepburn creates a turnover and scores. Gophers lead down to 1.
Essegian stepped on the line, on that 3. Gophers ball.
The guys announcing this game are so typical of Minnesota sports announcers. Finding the Minnesota connection on the Badgers' gets quite old. My sound just got turned off.
Bucky looking like they are deflated. Down 7 to the Gophers with 10:27 to go.
Maybe Bucky wins the NIT.
I turn the sound off and the Badgers come alive. Tie game, now.

Are they Minnesota announcers?
Come on Badgers……ugh, at least they’re making a game of it, but they should be crushing them.
Bucky takes the lead

They act like it.
Clutch 3 by Hepburn
Bucky up by 4, with 26.5 seconds left.
If OT, Just turn it off.
They don’t deserve even the NIT. 🤮 🤮 🤮
Bucky smart to put the Gophers on the line instead of giving them a 3 point shot.
71-67, Bucky wins it.
Woopie…..they look horrible.
Another classic Badger finish!

It's almost as if Gard learned something from the Michigan game.
They'd have one of the best records in the NIT.
Zero points from the Badger bench.
Not only no points but they get very few minutes from their bench. They simply have no depth. A guy like Klesmit should be about 8th man on the depth chart and today he played 39 minutes. The entire bench played 32 minutes and it would have been much less if Hepburn hadn't sat for 16 minutes with fouls in the 1st half.

Klesmit played AAU with my nephew on a t team in the Fox River Valley. He went to Wofford to begin with because he was a guy who would start and play big minutes there, but would only be a bench player in the Big 10.
Incidentally, my nephew plays for Macalester, a D3 school in Minnesota and averages about 22 a game there and shoots about 38% from three. Having streamed a few of their conference games, there are probably about 8-10 guys in that D3 conference that could come in and provide better minutes than what the Badgers have on their bench right now. I'm sure the same is true for some players in the WSUC.

It used to be the cut off for a major conference school getting into the NCAA tournament was a 500 record in your conference. That Michigan loss may be what keeps them out.

nah. it was the northwestern losses, the rutgers loss, the nebraska loss, etc. just a brutal season. they were 3-0 in the conference in january.
The difference yesterday is that Hepburn hit a big 3 point shot in the final minute of a tie game. If you look at all the games they lost that one big shot was missing at the end of games. They had so many winnable losses that they didn't finish by making the big play. Even yesterday they kept the Gophers in the game with a couple missed FTs and a ridiculous turnover in the final minute.

I mentioned it before but how many guys do the Badgers have that were even offered scholarships to the UW coming out of HS? Davis got one because of his brother and the jury is out and may never come in on Hodges and Liver. So if you look at the rotation it's Essegian, Hepburn, Wahl, and Crowl. This team is talent poor and could have really use a 6'9 tree trunk to give them minutes in the paint and a 6'6 swingman that can create his own shot.

My comment to her meant that an NCAA bubble team is a shoo in as a NIT team. To say the are not good enough for the NIT is just crazy. Or really hopped up.
The Gophers are terrible and this team was on the ropes.
Other than Purdue the BT sucks this year and you think UW is deserving of a bid? Screw that.
It’s a bad team.
