Badgers Invade the Spartans

Klesmit has been ruled out for the game.  Not good, but a big chance for McGee and Janicki.

Neither Kellogg nor Wright are picking The Badgers, at Michigan State, today. I smell an upset. I think McGee plays big and Janicki kicks butt, to make up for Klesmit not playing.

I like how Gard has the Badgers making the Spartans shoot from outside. Other than Akin, they're not great from deep.

34-32 BADGERS at the half!

By looking at the box score you would think Badgers should be down by 10, not up by 2.    2 of 16 on 3's,  out rebounded 26 to 21, down in blocked shots 3 - 0.

I also like how the Badgers are hustling down the floor.

Kellogg saying that Michigan State is a 2nd half team. Badgers have to know that. At least, I hope they do! GO BUCKY!!!

Badgers shooting from deep, has been abysmal, this half. Time to wake up!

Spartans pulling away.

How was that not a foul? 

71-62 Spartans win. Not a great 2nd half by the Badgers.

Bad 3 point shooting and rebounding cost the Badgers the game.

The two turnovers in the final couple of minutes didn’t help either.

Badgers have had a good season but you had better hope they don’t play a team that has guards with quick hands.  It’s been a problem for them and they don’t really have a true PG on the team.  

Was the bad 3 point shooting caused by, 1) MSU defense, 2) Badgers getting tired from a long season, 3) pressure knowing they needed a win to keep B1G regular season title alive, 4) playing on the road?   

All of the above.

Their big guys are  better than our big guys was significant along with MSU’s D and some bad shooting.  Another thing IMO Klesmit being out kept McGee out of his usual spark plug role.

It’s pretty tough to win at Purdue and Michigan State and UW played good enough to win for most of the game.  However, the last 5 minutes of the game were tough to watch.  

So, ok…..who’s gonna win it all, ya know the huge NCAA tournament???  Or is this a topic all its own??  Bucky isn’t going anywhere.  😡

Right now I’ll take Duke.  This MSU outfit we saw today if they can hit the long ball could be competitive with anyone.  They have some athletes. The top SEC teams are good too.

Pretty wide open tho.

Duke, Auburn, and Houston have the best teams....but the best team doesn't always win.

Neither is Marquette.
