Good shooting and solid passing makes the Badgers lead 20 points coming out of the break.
Crowl sits as he gets his 4th foul early in the 2nd half. BTW, this game is on CBS SPORTS NETWORK.
Janicki with a nice blocked shot!
Janicki then steals a pass and misses the lay up.
Blackwell becoming a star, right in front of our eyes!
Winter tips it in, for his 13th point. He also has 9 boards.
Lots of Badger fans, in the stands. Albeit a small arena, still lots of Cardinal Red.
74-55 Badgers with 7:19 left in the 2nd half.
Tonje at the line. Makes both FTs.
Crowl back in the game.
Gilmore to McGee for three! Very unselfish of Gilmore, there.
Crowl gets his 5th foul and takes a seat.
Kamari McGee is 5-5 shooting. 14 points.
81-59 Badgers, with 3:40 to go.
Winter, flying out of bounds, with the ball, calls a time out before he hits the floor and gets it.
Announcers say Winter has a Double-Double tonight. His first as a Badger.
Robinson, a Freshman, buries a 3!
Badgers win it 86-70 as Isaac Gard dribbles out the clock!

I believe they play Sunday at 4:30 cst v Pitt.
And a winβ¦Tonje is the real deal.
Yep Bucky 81 -75, another nice win. Keep em coming.
After being down 7 at the half, Badgers turn it on and beat a previously undefeated Pittsburg team. Anyone that says Gard can't coach doesn't know what the hell they are talking about.
Badgers up to 15 this week, Marquette #10

Chucky is killing it in Louisville today, , Storr is starting on the #1 team in the country yet Gard has his team at #15.
Smoke and mirrors? I think not.
I donβt think a lot of the criticism of Gard has to do with his coaching acumen. Itβs been his inability to get decent recruits to commit and stay at Wisconsin. Especially the best in state players.
Does anyone think Shaka Smart is great strategist? I donβt. But heβs elevated that program almost solely due to recruiting.
John Calipari made a career in college basketball that way.

Goldie does!!!!
As for Gard's recruiting I have always said you can't make a kid go to school anywhere but where he wants to go. No matter how may consecutive NCAA Tournaments, or bowl games in football if a kid is not happy at Wisconsin he ain't going there. And Wisconsin just can't compete in NIL money it seems. I think Gard does his best with the kids he does get to be a Badger.

Damn right I doβ¦..β₯οΈ
Much like whatβs ailing the football program, there is no reason why Wisconsin shouldnβt be landing all of the top in state players every year. I get that this state isnβt California or Florida or Texas but Iowa State has literally built their basketball program getting some of their key guys from WI.
