Well its that time Bama is coming to Madison.  Bama very rarely if ever goes on the road in non conference games.  Now they come into Madison for a noon game (don't get me started) to take on Bucky.

I am very cautiously excited about this one that its in Madison and maybe the Badgers can keep it close for awhile.  But, I think the Bama talent in the end will be just too much.

We are going to find out quickly if this team is any good on Saturday.

The reason Alabama has been so good is year in and year they get some of the best DL in the country and they will go 5-6 deep without any drop off.

That to me is the biggest mismatch in this game.  I think the Badgers OL is ridiculously overrated and that’s a problem against Bama.

The other issue is our DL isn’t great at holding the point of attack and I think Bama may run all over them.

Bottom line, it may not be a 48-3 blowout loss, but 24-0 and being physically dominated in the trenches might be just as bad.

The only chance UW has is if they get a gift special teams TD or defensive TD and don’t turn the ball over.   In a close, low scoring game that’s what it will take to get the upset.

Remember this guy

On Saturday, Sept. 14 Wisconsin Athletics will honor Ron Dayne during the football game against Alabama, including a special anniversary presentation by members of the Heisman Trust.

Wisconsin Athletics is proud to celebrate the 25th anniversary of one of the greatest seasons and careers in college football history. Ron Dayne’s incredible 1999 season was immortalized with the breaking of the NCAA Division I rushing record and the winning of the Heisman Trophy.

Death by a thousand cuts

Allowing 6 yards per rush and you can’t complete any goddamn passes.

If I’m Bama why throw the ball?

If Van Dyke is out for an extended period of time this team is in serious trouble.  Like a 4 win season type trouble.  And Fickell and Longo should absolutely be on the hot seat.  Can’t recruit a decent QB.  Can’t recruit DL.  Offensive schemes and gameplans are idiotic.  Basically a recipe for disaster.
