I'm completely stoked for this game. What a series this turned out to be. I don't mind Joe Buck but I will have Pat Hughes on instead. Game 7 where each team will be throwing it all out for the win ! Just a exciting feeling that a historic game is about to be played tonight and we all get to see it.
2 guys watch a ball drop and then the catcher doesn't catch the ball in the 1st inning? The fix is on. Must be some big money in vegas.
So we have 2 outfielders and a catcher plus untold numbers of Vegas and mob guys plus MLB officials in on the fix.....going to be hard to keep that quiet for long.
Revenge of Shoeless Joe.
Chapman only threw 20 pitches last night, but you still have to wonder why he was in the game at all. I guess you can understand 2 on and 2 out in the 7th in a 5 run game and then let him work the 8th, but why send him back out there in the 9th at all when you have a 7 run lead? That would have saved him warming up before the inning and then the first batter.
It's pretty clear Maddon doesn't trust anyone in the pen except for Chapman. They claim he's going to use Lester from then pen tonight, but you can't do that in a close game after about the 6th inning. You certainly can't bring Lester in with a runner on, you might as well just award the guy an extra base if you do.
Yeah I wondered about using Chapman last night too expecially after the Cubs added two more runs late to stretch the lead back to 7....
If you can't get excited for this game---why the Hell are you reading a baseball thread?
Go Injuns.....wait, is that insensitive?
What time do the Brewers start?
I've been to Chicago at least twice every year over the last 20 years. There are three things I want them to win.
My steak. My Italian beef combo. My flight home.
To Joe's Stone Crab and Al's. Thanks. To ORD. Cutler would be a great choice for a spokeswoman for getting people where they want to go.
Chi Town is a cool city but they can keep ORD that airport sucks ass. I purposely avoid that place.
Schwarber looks like Babe Ruth on the base path
Call me Cliff Clavin:
In his major league baseball career that stretched over 22 seasons from 1914-1935Babe Ruth had 123 stolen bases (SB).
I meant the way he looked.....running with his bad leg.
...you're right tho, kinda similar body type too.
A lot of cardiac events about to happen in Chicago
It's so nice to watch an incredibly unhealthy and out of whack game like this and not have a true vested interest in the winner. (Sort of) This is what sports are meant to be.
Joe Maddon is going to be questioned in Chicago for the next 110 years if they don't win this.
His decisions to pitch Chapman up 3 runs in Game 6, yanks Hendricks early in Game 7, and pull Lester with 2 outs in the 8th are all questionable.
Chapman is gassed and melting down.
Chapman doesn't trust his fastball right now. Two sliders in a row.
Chapman beats women.
Karma, beyotch.
Twins - Braves in 1991 was the best series I ever saw. This game 7 may rival any other game 7 ever.
Both managers have really over managed by using up the relievers they trust. Miller, Allen, chapman, are all gassed.
And now it starts pouring.
Down to one catcher. Not sure it's the right move unless the runner gets to second or to third with one out.
Well, karma's going to be with someone tonight... error on Cle.
Wtf Maddon?
A two strike squeeze when a sac fly gets him in?
Joe Maddon might have managed the worst Game 7 in history.
Of course, panicking and pitching Chapman in Game 6 like he did contributed to this.
"Right now every Cub fan in the stadium would love to turn to the Indian fan next to them and say, "Can we each just say we won and celebrate?" - Things Vin Skully would say if he was calling this game.
Any bets on if Chapman comes back even after the rain? Who does Francona send to the hill?

There is nothing Maddon could do beyond what he's already done that would surprise me. He's put in the worst performance by any manager I've ever seen in a pressure situation.
Despite my inclination to dislike him, Arod is a good commentator.
You know what?
Alex Rodriguez knows his schyt.
Jinx.
Unbelievable game.

Fun Series no matter who you hate.
Our long national nightmare is over.
Unfortunately, it begins again in February when pitchers and catchers report.
No, our long national nightmare begins Jan 21, 2017.
