I’ve not been seeing a great deal of press being given to Jackson Chourio’s play of late.

The last 25 games (which is a good sample size):

100 PA, 94 AB, 18 runs, 32 hits, 8 doubles, 4 home runs, 16 RBI, 6 walks, 11 strikeouts, 4/5 stolen bases, .340 AVG/.380 OBP/.553 SLG/.933 OPS.

I’d like to see him work on raising his walk rate just a bit, but those projections over a full season-

117 runs, 207 hits, 52 doubles, 26 home runs, 104 RBI, 26 stolen bases

-are freaking sexy. And the scary part is that he could not only end up doing that, he could surpass it.

And the man just turned 20.

Arcia gives the Braves a 2-0 lead, and Hoskins gets one back. Three home runs total tonight.

Adames 3 run homer gives the Crew  a 4 - 2 lead.

Adames just continues to come up huge. How many home runs does he have now from the 6th inning on? Yikes.

I have to think that holding on here would be a real morale booster in the clubhouse.

The Cubs lost, and the Cardinals are down 6-2 in the 8th against the Rangers. But the Classy Birds have two men on with no outs.

Aaron Judge with #38 and 39 tonight. 99 RBI in 106 games. Wow.

Dude had 7.3 WAR headed into tonight. He’s on track for 11.0 bWAR after having 10.5 in 2022.

What could we reasonably give up to get Garrett Crochet from the White Sox? Apparently, they’re listening to offers for him. That would be a coup. But I expect the Dodgers or Yankees will get him.

Brewers are pitching a good game tonight. Up 5-2 in the bottom of the bottom of the eighth.

Great job by the offense beating up on the Braves bullpen.  8-3 final.  Nice to win the first game of the series.

In other news the Brewers traded Wiemer and Junis to the Reds for Frankie Montas.   Hopefully they can straighten him out.  

Satisfying win.

And that also opens up a spot on the 40 man roster with Junis and Weimer exiting.   Is another deal in the works or is Hall or Ross coming off the 60 day DL which they would count against the 40 man limit?   Brewers also sent $1 million in cash to the Reds, the difference in the Junis and Montas 2025 buyouts.

Brewers have promoted Jacob Misiorowski to AAA Nashville.  Next stop September call up and 40 man roster.

Tonight's game is at 7:10 CT, Ross is pitching for the Crew

Line up:

Mitchell ain't Yelich but that .273 BA isn't too bad.  May play better defense than Yelich too and definitely has a better arm. 

For the love of God get Bauers out of the 3 spot!  Guy can hit some dingers but he belongs in the bottom 3rd of the lineup.

Not looking good for the Crew at the moment. Top of 3rd down 1-0, 1 out and guys on 1st and 3rd

Now 2-0 and still one out with 2 on

Ross loads the bases with a walk, still one out, not lookin good at this point

Now 4-0 Ross cannot get out of this jam, still 2 on 2 outs.
