Frankly, Bayern deserved more, but the refereeing was atrocious. What can you expect from a Limey referee?

The refereeing was atrocious both ways. Leon Sandcastle tricked the ref into giving one of the Juve players a yellow card that will keep him out of the return leg. Meanwhile, the Juve players were mauling Mandžukić all night and the ref mostly let it go. Vidal deserved a yellow long before the blatantly obvious hand ball.

I hope the injury to Kroos doesn't come back to bite Bayern in the return leg, or in the semifinal.

I'm sure that Limey ref was much worse than the Kraut who gave Ibrahimovich a goal on a clear off side in the PSG Barca game and then commenced to award Ibra the softest yellow card foul in history.

What happened to Kroos? Messi went down with a hamstring.

No ****. A favorite question of mine. A country of 50 million and no one can take a penalty kick?

Barca, Barca . Actually, I favor Bayern in this one. No one in Europe is playing better, but Messi is the great equalizer. He is amazing.
Hell, even the English ladies screwed up the penalty kicks against France in the Women's World Cup two years ago.

I don't know if I should be happy that you think Bayern are better than Barça, though. You were rooting for Bayern in the final last year, and look what happened. Mad

This year's Bayern side should be a vintage team for the ages. I mean, they beat Juve 4-0 with Arjen Robben not being able to hit the side of a barn. But I keep having this sinking feeling of "How are Bayern going to **** up the Champions League this year?" The last two years were pretty bad, and don't get me started on '99. It doesn't help that a diver got Mandžukić suspended from the first leg of the semifinal. Mad The can replace him with Mario Gomez, at least, who is no slouch himself.
The beauty of soccer, there are so many leagues you may pick your favorite in each country, if you like. I used to like Stuttgart, but now I am too far removed from the Bundesliga. Too many years in this country.
