Bears got to give him a three year deal at $12 million. McCown holds all the cards. And that's cheaper than Cutler, who will probably end up in Houston or Tennessee.
I'd love to see them dump Cutler for McCown. Jay-Jay has his problems, and he will never be an elite QB, but he's a capable starter. McCown is just in the middle of some flukey stretch that bears little resemblance to the rest of his awful career.
Bears will draft Johnny Football. You heard it here first.
Apparently Bears upper-management not too thrilled with Trestman's decision. Or just bad journalism?

So what will happen to Janey Football?
Bears will re sign Cutler.
Question is...who else are they going to re-sign?
Henry Melton, Charles Tillman, Tim Jennings, Zach Bowman, Corey Wooton, Jon Anderson, Major Wright, Roberto Garza. All free agents. Plus Peppers is due about $14 million. Going to be an interesting offseason for the Bores.
I'd love to see Henry Melton in GB. When he's healthy he is an absolute stud.
Cutler won't be back in Chicago and I'm very sad about that. I'd rather face him than McCown any day. McCown is old and doesn't have the elite physical tools, but he is patient and plays within the system. Cutler does what he wants and while he will make some splashy plays, he also makes some horribly boneheaded plays. Neither will be back in Schitcago. They will draft a rookie QB and start fresh.
