Best selling author Tom Clancy dead at 66

I remember when he tried to buy the vikings in 1997. He was holding court with the local media at the Minneapolis Athletic Club, chain smoking the whole time. When a reporter advised him that smoking was not allowed in the metrodome, his response was "Not in my box, pal".

He came across as kind of a dickhead.
