Although Aaron tends to play well in domes, I think it comes down to individual matchups and game plan/execution. We've just happened to have had both our last few games in Atlanta, and if we play them this year, I believe we still have the upper hand.
SF may be warmer than Green Bay in January, but it's still gotta be cold and damp. I'm not so sure there is an advantage to either team in those conditions.
Atlanta is a better match up for GB. They're not much different from 2010 Atlanta, they have just gotten lucky this season more often. The only way they're improved is Julio Jones has improved his game and is a legit deep threat. However, the Packers have gotten better at CB with Hayward, House, Shields, etc. Atlanta's offense isn't complex, it's all about execution for them. They execute their offense very well and are very disciplined, but there's nothing about that offense that is scary. And really their running game has been terrible this season, worse than GBs. Defensively I see the same team from 2010, one good rusher in Abraham and if you neutralize him then you're going to find opportunities. Again, they're a disciplined defense that executes well. That alone will only get you so far in the playoffs though. When it turns into a QB shootout, Aaron Rodgers will dominate Matt Ryan 11 times out of 10.
Man, am I the only one around here who is kind of perplexed/tired of all the talk about who is the best opponent, who the Packers need to avoid playing, is it better to play on the road, is it better not to have a bye etc.....

I know this is a fan forum and we are opinionated, ill informed fans with too much time on our hands or interesting priorities, (at least some of us), but from my perspective in the real world getting a bye is a free win, its always better to be the home team, and to get to the SB you need to beat some good teams (with some very rare exceptions).

The Packers are 10-4 (should be 11-3) with a 7-1 streak going. Yes, they are a flawed team in some respects and some teams such as SF and NYG seemed to have their number, but this team can beat any team in out there. It really doesn't matter who they play, they need to bring their A guy, execute, avoid errors and go through whoever is in the way.

Go Pack!
