Another Fran McCaffrey meltdown. A technical foul led to 4 PSU points and the game was gone.
McCaffery said, "We made some mistakes, I think. They took advantage of those mistakes.
Very sluggish start with the shots not falling. Hope they carry over the strong finish to the first half into the second.
Looking at a #3 seed right now if they're not careful.
Dukan finally hits one.
This is what I've been worried about come tournament time, an opponent playing tight man defense. Badgers aren't built to break teams down off the dribble.
Win or lose this is not a good omen for the NCAA tournament. Getting beat by guys that can drive - just like Maryland. They really miss Trae Jackson on the defensive side in these types of situations.

Koenig is really the only guy that have equipped to do that. Maybe Dekker, but that is not how any of the other guys get their points.
Another concern is that this is a close game against a team with the talent level at the level of many 11-13 seeds and the Badgers have not played poorly on offense. No one on the Badgers is having a bad day offensively (at least statistically) and yet they've let an inferior team hang around.
all the games are hard this time of year. Bucky showed poise and walked off the court winners.
If I am a Michigan fan, I have a legitimate beef with the refs. Not for the lack of fouls, but there were at least three travel's they missed and one ball out of bounds (Michigan had one bad travel they missed also, maybe this was NBA prep week)
R E L A X...
On the positive side, Dukan looked like he did in last year's NCAA tournament. If he can provide those kinds of minutes, it will be a huge boost.
I'd like to point out one of my rules for Duje is to never dribble. Today he dribbled the ball past a couple defenders into the lane for a dunk.
Exceptions don't invalidate the rule, but congratulations are in order.
Nice to see Dukan provide some boost for the team. Hayes was pretty quiet today. I saw the second half mostly.
Watching Duke, Kentucky and WI lately, they all look vulnerable to a stumble to a weaker seed in the NCAA. I just hope Bucky isn't the one who does.
In Kaminsky's interview after the game he pointed out that he felt he just didn't play well.
I know we've discussed this many times, but can imagine 3 years ago if you have told us that Kaminsky would have gone 6-12 FG, 4-4 FT, 12 Rebounds, 2 Assists in a Big 10 tournament game, we'd have all been thrilled. Now it's an off game.
The two missed lay ups and two turnovers in a row that helped MI take a 2nd half lead looked bad for Frank. He also had guys score over him or in his face a few times. So it wasn't a Kaminsky highlight reel game but that happens. The team needs to take care of business and they did.
Was encouraging to see Dekker carry the team offensively in those stretches where Frank was out or struggling. Biggest disappointment of season to me has been his inability to become a more consistent offensive producer. Peaks and valleys.
No more valleys allowed.....
Frankie is like the QB of his team.......Aaron Rodgers has had bad games also, being the QB of his team....I'd say, all hail QB's of both teams.
GO BADGERS GO.
Nice workmanlike win today. C-Boy does have two gripes about the B10 Tourney:
1. Why does it always have to be in Chicago or Indy? Target Center or Xcel could host it up here (and also the new dome when done), Milwaukee could in the Bradley Center (and the new place), Detroit could, somewhere in Ohio (Columbus or Cleveland?). New York, Pennsylvania and DC could come into play as well. Spread it out man!
2. It needs to end on Saturday to give the winner an extra day of rest. Who care if it goes up against the ACC or someone else.
Bawk!
Bucky v. Purdue.
Hayes carrying the team on offense so far. A lot of athleticism on this Purdue squad, tough for Wisco as a result.
Purdue playing very well.....W will need to step it up on D soon.
Yeah, four points from Frank just isn't good enough. Very lackluster half from Bucky.
Much, much better, O, D, rebounding in short everything
Hayes is playing out of his mind. Keep it up and they are Final Four bound.
Showwalter a beast on the glass
Bronson playing like its a pickup game. So relaxed.
IMPRESSIVE
Play on tomorrow. Really impressed with the defensive effort in the second half. The Law Firm managed to not mess up with their minutes, and that is very important.
Might as well win tomorrow too.
@TomOatesWSJ: Sure hope the NCAA selection committee was watching that second half. #Badgers
41 to 16. What a half. Just took over and dominated.

And hope they did not watch the first.....
1. That second half was truly amazing.
2. I don't think Jackson gets his starting job back. If it ain't broke...
