Don't Say No is a classic.

Everyone singles out that video as killing his career. To be honest, that video never bothered me that much when putting it in the context of all the other goofy, hairspray videos of the early 80's. Long-haired guys prancing around wearing pink shirts...doesn't that cover about 90% of the videos made in that era?

I lost interest in Squier because most of his albums had two or three good songs and the rest just seemed like filler. Don't Say No is the one that is really solid all the way through. The albums before that were mediocre IMO. Emotions in Motion was largely filler and it was the same story with Signs of Life (the album that included the offending video).

If Squier had put out better albums I bet a lot more people wouldn't have cared about the "gay" nature of the video.

Kind of like the Queen supporters in Europe who claim Queen bombed in the States (especially in the Bible belt) after it was revealed that Freddie was gay. Let me tell you something, I've lived in the midwest my entire life and believe me it was no secret back then that Rob Halford was gay and it never impacted record or ticket sales for Judas Priest. I always thought that Queen stuff was the biggest bunch of crap. The reason so many people in the States lost interest in Queen was the abomination they released known as Hot Space. What an awful, awful, awful record that was. It took me about 10 years to get over that piece of garbage and give them a chance again.
