Bruce Arians is yet another example of the media just fawning over some quotable dude with personality. Good coach, sure, but not the water-walker so many of the football trade press would have you believe. Win something first, man.

Ref in the end zone signaling "Incomplete" until he sees his cohorts flag fly in---so he throws his.

Why is clock management such a hard concept for these coaches to grasp?

 

First you have Harbaugh. Cards run the ball on first and goal from the 3. The Ravens for some reason don't call a timeout. Arizona winds up scoring with a minute left. 

 

Then you have the Cardinals. They stop Baltimore on 3rd down with 43 seconds left and decide not to use their final timeout. 

The NT had Johnson and then let him go.  BS call by refs.  Why didn't Harbaugh throw the flag?

If a Raven would have come in and laid Johnson out while the DT was holding him it would have been 15. 

 

I cant take much more of the stripes. They are terrible. 

Considering they play or the most awesome coach in NFL history the Cardinals sure make some stupid decisions. 

 

They had not one, but 2 guys run out of bounds with less than 3 minutes left. Then they had an intentional grounding call when the Ravens were out of timeouts. 

 

Had Ellington just stayed in bounds after the 3rd down catch the best the Ravens could have hoped for was getting the ball back with 25 seconds left and no timeouts. 

 

 

Will be a formidable game in December with the Redbirds, but a lot of things will change from now until then.  Phat Eddie will have some fun with the small middle of that defense as long as Josh, Corey and TJ are healthy.

Provided everyone is healthy, the Packer / Cardinal game is going to be a LOT of fun.

 

My early assessment....

I'm probably the only one here that was rooting for Arizona (other than Red Dawn).  My reasoning was simple... I do NOT want the Seahawks winning that division under any circumstance.  If AZ would have lost, the Seahags would have been just a game out of a tie for first.

I don't know.  I wouldn't mind beating them again.  Especially when it matters.
