Nebraska was in a lose lose situation

Pelini will never get them over the hump but he's done well enough to warrant keeping his job- at less at most college programs

Nebraska is figuring out what Penn State had to deal with after joining the conference.  The competition week in and week out is a lot tougher than they expected and neither team had lived up to expectations based off of their past legacies.

They can't rest starters like before....when they play Temple, or Botswana U., or Little Sisters of the Poor.  They could "rest up" and game plan for their big games then.  Now, no matter who they play, it's a tough game and a hard hitting game every week.  Maybe the Big Ten isn't as flashy as the SEC, but every game can be a snotbubbler.

 

Didn't PSU only go to the Rose Bowl one year...their first in the Big Ten?
