Howard Moore will be returning to the Kohl Center as a Badger assistant.  He was a Badger player from 1990 thru 1994.  He was also an assistant to Bo from 2005 to 2010 before taking the job as Illinois-Chicago head coach.   Welcome home Howard.

Interesting perspective... Detached from the players, not personable. Explains a lot about recruiting.

I wonder how it is in other programs. During the season only regular players practice with coach Ryan? That seems odd to me...

You might be on to something MC.  A lot of us think that old school is cool but who wants to play for a coach that acts like a dick unless you are an underachiever that is getting a chance at a B1G D1 school that you can't get elsewhere?

Sent the link to my wedding best man, who played for Bo in Pville. He hated Bo so much he left the program. His feelings have softened with age, but he definitely agreed with Bruser.

Oddly, Bo was really charming off the court. I had a nice talk with him at a party once, and kids who took his class just loved him.

Not the first former player who did not get along with Bo

After some time, I think less of Bo even more for how he left.  I can imagine how he would have responded if a player quit on him.  I don't really care if the stories about Bo off the court have any merit or not, how he left bugs me.

The real story here is that a woman, engaged in an extramarital affair, found the man she banged behind his wife's back to be "“manipulative, a liar, cheater and deceptive,”.  What happened to the halcyon days of forthright, honest, integrity filled extra marital affairs?

Ah, the story is out. There have been so many women mentioned that I think it is best to just let the story develop. I did hear about this last year from someone claiming that Bo was going to retire because of it. Perhaps he did after all.

It takes the shine off Bo's sanctimoniousness, since he couldn't even keep his word with his wife.  I'm guessing the Uthoff family isn't sending him flowers.

A hypocritical college basketball coach? No!!! Bob Knight always had the self control he required of his players.

Really glad that Gard is coaching now. Imagine the sh!t storm this would be if Ryan was still on the bench.

It looks like the rumor mill is saying there were multiple women involved.

Having said that, Alvarez and Bielema probably make Bo look like a choir boy in comparison.

Great investigative reporting by the Madison and Milwaukee sports reporters on this.

Back about 3-4 years ago I was visiting some old stomping grounds around Nekoosa. An old family friend told us a story about how his wife had an affair with Bo Ryan, and it lead to their divorce. I tossed it aside- seemed like it was way out there... the kind of "woe is me" story your average BS artist tells at a party.

 Then this comes out. Wow...

Oh trust me, MIPacker, this was well known around Madison.

I figured that. Obviously, UW completely controls what the Madison media report on. When it's all said and done there is nothing illegal going on here. However, it leads to some concern that if there was (either here or another context) the Madison media would just cover it up for UW. Not much different than the SEC.

Hard to believe there are that many blind women around.....not that Bo isn't a dreamboat, a dreamboat with money that is.
