Bo wants to name his successor. Seems to be taking a different road than Dick did.
"I've decided to coach one more season with the hope that my longtime assistant Greg Gard eventually becomes the head coach at Wisconsin. I am looking forward to another year with our program, including our players, my terrific assistant coaches, our office staff and everyone who supports Wisconsin basketball here in Madison, around the state and across the country."

Ryan has repeatedly touted Gard's coaching acumen and has said he is ready to run a program.
"Greg knows why we do drills the way we do them," Ryan said in 2014. "Why we do things in a game the way we do them. He understands the personalities and the interactions of the players. Greg's a guy that knows the teams in the league, works extremely hard at scheduling, which is a very difficult job. Scouting reports. He just does it all."

Thank you Bo for all you have done. However, no to Greg Gard with no disrespect to him.
Bucky is now an elite program and I don't feel Gard would carry on that 'presence' on the sideline.
Go hard after Tony Bennett.
Tragic. Gard does most/all the heavy lifting on the recruiting trail, but can he coach?

Interview and hire the best guy. If that ends up being Gard so be it but this is a Top 20 college b-ball program. Lots of very good coaches out there

I think Bo knows coaches as well as Bo knows players. Where do some of you guys think the next great coaches come from? Some body has to give them a chance and if Bo says Gard is that guy then he deserves the chance.
Thanks Bo for all you have done for Wisconsin basketball, and by this I mean all of Wisconsin, not just Madison. And the promo film you did for the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board was fantastic.
