Man am I tired of these milquetoast Badger QBs. Mertz has only played in two games this year and can play in 4 and still redshirt. Start him next week.

And what has happened to this defense? Minny will put up 40+ next week if this keeps up.

A decent QB is about all that’s preventing them from being a playoff caliber team.

I don’t care what his completion % is Jack Coan is a mediocre QB. If you are a pocket type passer you had better have a strong arm or be able to make snap decisions and he possesses neither traits. To make matters worse, he doesn’t feel and avoid the rush very well so that’s why he will get carved up against the really good defenses.

Despite Jack Coan I do worry about this defense next week. I’m not sure WTF is going on but the fundamentals have not been there lately whether it’s taking bad angles or lazy coverage or missing tackles. The Gophers have a pretty decent offense so the Badgers will need to step up and play well on D for them to win.
